Whibley explained, "Now I'm sober, I don't get calls from certain people that I used to . . . the drinking friends. Now I'm the burn-out to them. Who wants to invite the sober guy to the party? Y'know who has been incredibly supportive? Iggy Pop. He had a lot of great advice; he's been through it all. We've been friends for years."

Whibley added, "Same for Tommy Lee from MÖTLEY CRÜE. He told me what to expect from people, that not everyone will understand. Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum from GUNS N' ROSES have been great too. We go out for coffee and talk about shit."

Chuck is one of the first rock albums that I loved all the way through back in the day. I may think pop punk and a lot of these guys' stuff is shit, but that album will always be important for me. I listen to it every few years for old time's sake.

Glad this guy got sober

He looks like he's aged about twenty years, I remember reading on ultimate guitar one more drink would kill him then the story they had under it was a new Jack White song called 'One More Drink'. Well Deryk, if you don't want your pancreas exploding and giving you internal burns like Duff '10 bottles of wine a day' McKagan steer clear of the sauce.

I agree chuck is a fuckin great album. Don't care a lot for the pop punk shit but the heavier stuff is real good. I also enjoyed the last album screaming bloody murder a lot. Glad to see he is getting better
