Georgy Zhukov
You can clearly tell how shy Slash was. His playing was so timid but the King and Derek Trucks helped him out. It made me respect Slash even more.

ZoSoRose
I own that blu-ray. Derek Trucks is a beast.I've seen him twice. Once opening for Santana in 2008 and another time at the HOF (saw Slash there too!). He is so good
SoNobodyToldYaBaby
I wouldn't say Slash was timid.. Just the other guys are far superior at playing the blues.

Patience 4 Axl
He's clearly humbled in the presence of legends. Has nothing to do with others being superior, he wouldn't be sharing the same stage with them if he wasn't deserving of that honor. Much like we have our heroes and idols, he has his, and to be a part of that must have been a bit intimidating and even overwhelming for him to say the least. They are superior in playing the blues, but Slash is not a blues player anyway, and even if he was, you don't have to be just as good as some of the greatest just to play with them. Just like all the people that were ever on stage playing guitar with Hendrix. It's a fact they are far superior at playing the blues compared to Slash, but Slash is the whole package as a guitar player, and can play many styles the "Slash way", and the Slash sound he alone hears in his head everytime he picks up the guitar and at that, he is the best. At being himself. As a person, and as a musician. Edited July 26, 2014 by Rovim
Nosaj Thing
The video posted is not the full performance with Slash in it. Slash had time to play some cool blues throughout the show. Also, BB tried on Slash's hat.

Iron MikeyJ
Can't fault the guy for being "awe struck" playing with some of his heros. Hell I would probably play like shit if if I was jamming with Page, EVH, or even Slash. I would just be so nervous that I'm sure i'd not be at my best. That's just human nature. If they played SCOM or another song Slash helped write, that would help him snap out of it. But playing their music, no way. Too much presure. RandallFlagg
He needs to get himself in Slayer and play with Kerry King. Mustaine did jam with Slash and smoke crack and make evil riffs, so we know he can thrash.

In his own shows, he's feeling it most of the time. Feelin' it.
