New Sixx:A.M Album -"Modern Vintage" out October/ 7/ 2014

I've never really given them a chance but from what I've heard it's not for me. Glad to see them be so successful. This is their 3rd album? Wasn't one released in 2012?

This Is Gonna Hurt was released in 2011

The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack was released in 2007

EvH I agree with you.

the first cd was awesome. The second one not so much.

Is this cd based on Nikki's life too? I think I read on DJ's twitter that he and Michael wrote a lot of the songs. Guess we'll find out in October.

Also I wonder what the surprise Sixx AM is doing since they won't be touring?

From what I've read on this album is bound to be a bit different from how the last two albums are arranged. I hear that they wanted Taylor Hawkins from Foo Fighters to do drums in a few songs as oppose to James Michael filling out drum tracks. Maybe they may do some more touring which goes well with whenever GNR is on a break and as well as after Crue's "Final" tour.

It's crazy that this guy has toured the world with GnR several times yet still finds time to write, record, produce and most importantly release music. All this yet Axl can't manage time to release material that was completed 10 yrs ago. I really wish some of this guys work ethic would rub off on Axl, even just a little.

I've only heard 2 Sixx:AM tracks; Lies of the Beautiful People and Life Is Beautiful.

Life was/is a HUGE hit here in Detroit and it sill gets played constantly. I don't hate it but I've never really liked it. I liked Lies a bit more actually, but that doesn't get as much play here. As much as I dislike DJ and his whole persona, if he writes a good song, I'll be happy to check it out.

We love ripping on him but DJ does work really hard. GNR touring, his cothes, media company (seems they do a lot of work around Vegas), Sixx AM, endorsments, etc

From Detroit, can confirm. You still hear "Lies of the Beautiful People" sometimes here too

Its a interesting band, i love Sixx AM, its modern hard rock, it always has good hit singles, but a lot of ballads haha.

Ashba cant write a long song like a SOD or Estranged but can write good singles for a radio hits, Sixx AM is that.
