M Shadows is one of the closest things to Axl (lower ranges) there's been, avenged are a solid band, not quite as good as GNR but some of the compositions and quirkiness they got going on are a cool evolution on GNR's original dynamic.

Not even close imo. He doesn't have the talent, charisma, voice, or intelligence Axl possesses. Avenged are Gn'R and Metallica followers, but there is no evolution from what they took if we're talking Gn'R dynamics. Not good enough. Not original enough. Jmo Randall. Always on the Run kicks ass and a prime example of great work outside Guns when some here try and say he hasn't done anything(such a joke).

Hoping he does another All-Star singer solo record though may not happen since nearly impossible to tour behind.
