PITBOSS
don't some of these guys go overboard? it's a good idea to be prepared, but if it consumes your life for something that never happens? what's that worth? I find it kinda crazy.
arnold layne
I think it's a smart concept but remember the people they show on television are the ones that exaggerate a little.I mean, just go to Costco the weekend before the next Y2K and buy two pallets of baked beans and a few boxes of vitamins and you should be ok. AxlisOld
I actually liked a Ratbrain post...And there's a big difference between living, and surviving. These preppers don't live a day in their life.
pestilence
We used to give food to the needy...now we store it in the basement in case a comet hits the planet....strange days

Sheri_Rose
When the nuclear plants over in Japan blew I stocked up on water, snapped up potassium Iodine tablets and refused to go out in the rain. Joking! ( kind of ) I think it's always good to be prepared because with the way the world is heading you just never know. Not all preppers are batshit insane and not all preppers live a lifeunfulfilled. I don't consider myself a prepper but if I hear news that concerns me, I'll search and decide what I may need IF SHTF if ever.I blame it on living overseas as a child from the age of 3 til' 8 in Japan as well as the Philippines. I was in several earthquakes, Typhoons in japan as well as the Philippines. The most traumatic experience was evacuating because of Mt. Pinatubo-the volcano. As a small child seeing white smoke drifting out of the volcano, waiting for it to blow at any moment & experiences of earthquakes out of no where, it left it's mark on me to always be prepared to act. I agree the guys in the video are going way overboard. Has anyone seen the amazing earthships out in New Mexico? If I had the time and money I would build myself one. they are pretty unique and allow for off the grid living if you're into that kind of thing . Val22
No amount of preparation is going to help. when the end comes, we're all screwed.I say man is long overdue for something to happen. How much more horror can people stand before it is just too much?
