Popular Post WFA
I just interviewed Rod Jackson, former Slash's Snakepit lead singer, for my Slash forum about his time with Snakepit and his current projects. Check it out.I reference a Matt Laug (ex-Snakepit drummer) interview I did, that can be read here. Nosaj Thing
Great interview, WFA.If I can give you any advice. Next time, talk with the interviewee a bit more and don't reply with "ok" or "cool" all the time. It feels awkward. Nosaj Thing
"Hey Walker, are you stoned? Just throwing it out there, brother!" Fuckin' Rod Jackson, man. We need more about him, seriously.
Patience 4 Axl
Wow, he's got a great personality. Entertaining guy. Cool that you got to do that!Agree with Thing however, loosen up dude.
BookerQFloyd
Great interview. I actually like the lack of banter, no need for interviewers to prove what great personalities they have; I prefer they focus on asking great questions which you did. Crash Diet
Man, Rod fits 100 times more with Slash than Myles... he's got balls
Nosaj Thing
Rod might not have been the best singer, but boy he was a killer frontman - which is exactly what Slash needs. Edited September 3, 2014 by Nosaj Thing
bacardimayne
Slash has a frontman. Damn good one too. Based on what I've heard of WOF, what he needs is a songwriter.

GivenToFly
I don't have the time to listen to this unfortunately. Highlights?
alfierose
You have done some good interviews, you seem to have a knack of getting some interesting thoughts from people. The one you did with the sports guy was good too. This is a much better use of your time than previous activities. :-)

ChineseIRS
Slash has a frontman. Damn good one too. Based on what I've heard of WOF, what he needs is a songwriter.Myles is an awful frontman. All he does is stand at his mic stand, tap his foot and point his finger every two seconds. Zero charisma, not to mention terrible lyricist and a voice that generally doesnt fit with Slashs music at all. CheapJon
Rod's fucking great! Have been listening to Ain't Life Grand in my car for 2 or 3 weeks now, though I popped it out today. Looking forward to his solo album if it ever comes out. #RJpissesalloverMK

Slash needs the energy of an emotive bombastic frontman that know how to sing and entertain at the same time.
DieselDaisy
Yes, I quite liked that era for Slash also. The album was a bit cheesy maybe - a bit, Sunset Strip, but I preferred it to Velvet Revolver and The Conspirators. I remember seeing that band live in a small sweat box in Sheffield (of all places) and they were excellent.

Bar Zeppelin or reunited GNR (or Dio...can't believe I never saw him, one of my bigger regrets), a 2000 line up Snakepit show would be in my top 1-2 desired shows of all time to see. Based on what I've heard of WOF, what he needs is a songwriter.Myles may be a good singer, but he's a terrible frontman.I've seen him live twice. He's pretty awesome. To some people, Slash's front man will always be shit, just like people say the same thing about Axl's guitarists. Can't make all of the people happy all of the time. But I can tell you that as a Slash fan, I'm pretty damn happy right now.
evergreen_layne
Didnt Slash say at one point that he realized he was touring with a junkie (Rod) and that's why that version of Snakepit never did anything else? Great interview man I like your stoner vibe...

Great interview man I like your stoner vibe...He crucified the whole Snakepit thing in his book. They were all 'drug dealing scabs'.Typical Slash duplicity.
