Slash playing NYC Monday 9/15 ?

I am hearing that Slash is playing a private show for Sirius/XM subscribers Monday night in NYC. No word on the venue or if/when this will be officially announced. For those curious, I work in the music industry.

Know nothing about it, but I'd love it if it were true. Would it be a special show where you have to win tickets or would there be a way to buy tickets with you Sirius subscription? I have Sirius, but I feel for all their events its this big event that only seats 200 people and its very rare that real fans get picked.

Usually you have to be a subscriber to enter their contests but I didn't see any requirements.

Appreciate you passing this forward though. In fairness, I've seen Slash twice this summer, and as much as I'd like a headlining show earlier than next year, I've already gotten my Slash fill that hopefully others that win the contest haven't had.

Got it last night at 6:30:22pm. Bottom of the email (clipped in the pic below) says it was sent to 278,000 subscribers in New York City.

Yup. He's not lying. My dad is my family's Sirius subscriber and I just checked his email. Sure enough, he got an email at 6:27 last night and failed to let me know, despite the fact that I told him around noon yesterday that there was apparently some Slash Sirius concert happening.

Anyway, just signed up through the link in the email and got this message:

Thank you for submitting your name to the standby list.

If tickets become available we will notify you and send you a confirmation email
using the email address you provided.

At any point prior to the event you may be notified.

Only those receive a confirmation email will be on the guest list for this event.

So it kills me to think I probably could have gotten into this yesterday had I just been given the details about the show from my dad. Oh well. On the waitlist but not expecting things to change if its a really small place.

Congrats and enjoy to those who got in. Kinda annoyed. Just looked through my Sirius emails and discovered I got an email invite for a Black Lips subscriber exclusive at Irving plaza on 9/30... On Monday! If I got bypassed for Slash because I was invited to that 2 days earlier I'm not happy.
