I just prefer his metal/hard rock side to his blues influences.

moreblack
I'd say Anastasia alone lifts AL above Libertad, 5 O'Clock and TSI at least.

wasted
Myles can't really embody that song. It's not about the vending machine coffee. AL I think is a tour de force for Slash guitar. AFD obviously. Snakepit he's unleaded. The illusions he's a bit of a caged animal. Civil War and Breakdown are his best shit. DieselDaisy
I cannot be bothered to make a list, but, Appetite would certainly be first whereas Contraband would be last. I have never come across a more, anti-Slash record, than Contraband.
wasted
Ironically it has his two biggest hits Slither and Fall to Pieces. But that's stadium rock I guess. Its just got to be big and loud. Snakepit had great guitar, loose and bluesy.

Free Bird
His guitar playing is always top notch... okay, Libertad would maybe be last on this list and AFD first but overall his guitar work is really great and if you had GNR building his solo songs around his riffs and solos they would be on pal with Guns' stuff IMO

smoking guns
There are great moments on all the albums even Libertad. But looking back that was such a pussy of a record it is hard to compare with AFD or WOF.

No idea why I forgot it. You Got No Right is one of the best.
Ant
Do it for the Kids is fucking awesome! The solo in Dirty Little Thing? Shredalicious. Headspace... I love Slash on Contraband. In fact, Contraband is modern rock in a way that World on Fire could have stood to learn from. The leads aren't as in the spotlight but... I'd put Contraband above a lot... and Libertad has some rad moments... American Man... Spay... Just Sixteen. In fact I think I kind of hate the self-titled now that I think about it. Although Watch This is almost better than Libertad in its entirety.AFDUYI1UYI 2WOFContraband5'ocALALG (How good is Shine? Axl and Dj probably wrote a sequel to Nightrain called Jäger Bombs in Vegas. Edited September 12, 2014 by wasted
