I think you've misunderstood the sweet science somewhat GTF, the idea is to avoid getting hit, thats sort of how you make a living out of it Edited September 13, 2014 by Lennie Godber

I think you've misunderstood the sweet science somewhat GTF, the idea is to avoid getting hit, thats sort of how you make a living out of it I'm avoiding getting punched in the head by lying in my bed right now instead of getting into fist fights. What he gets paid for is putting himself in a situation where he's likely to get hit hard and often. I don't care how good he is, I'm sure he gets punched way more often than the average person in other lines of work.
Len Cnut
I'm avoiding getting punched in the head by lying in my bed right now instead of getting into fist fights.Yes but are you getting paid 32 million dollars for doing so?What he gets paid for is putting himself in a situation where he's likely to get hit hard and often. You said hit in the head, I've seen all of his fights dating back to 1996 and I could probably count on the fingers of both hands how many times I've seen him get take a clean shot on the head, this is why he is lauded as possibly the greatest defensive fighter of all time. I don't care how good he is, I'm sure he gets punched way more often than the average person in other lines of work.Well it might be worth caring about how good he is, since you've cared enough to have an opinion about it because yes, he really is that good, 46 and 0, speaks for itself In any other instance your comment might've been accurate, it just so happens you picked the best in the world. Len Cnut
It's so weird that De La Hoya and Mayweather were in any sort of business together. Whatcha mean 'were', who do you think signs the cheques?Always felt that was a low insult, boxers tend to come from a background that isn't really a nice one.I would agree if Floyd wasnt someone who'd made a career out of abusing and degrading his opponents in some pretty awful ways...so if you wanna dish it out well then..... RandallFlagg
Mayweather has degraded many opponents but he does show respect in the end and he does show good conduct generally, apart from those goddamn elbows and the Ortiz sucker punch. He sells a good fight, usually it's about folk being poorer or less gifted than him, the De La Hoya tirade was funny and tongue in cheek the crap he was spewing out though him and DLH really dislike one another. The Corrales insults about woman beating were ironic looking back. Broner and Malignaggi come out with some gems though Broner was deluded and crass as fuck for ages until Maidana taught him a lesson, Floyd's barely said anything since Ortiz. He had a go at Guerrero in the tv ad and kept calling him Guerrera and at the Cotto weigh in he talked him down a bit.

Pacquiao should go yeah I'll get the fuckin' sushi rolls if you can read em off the fuckin' menu you cunt. Also have you seen him with sparring partners and people in his gym? I mean literally to some of the people he's contesting with...and then his own Dad, screaming 'you ain't shit, you was just a cab driver!' at him over and over, I'm sure he can take a little of his own medicine back. Also worth pointing out that Mayweather kinda started this thing with Fif' (sort of) by making certain thinly veiled but not at all really references to washed up rappers, truth is he really doesn't wanna fuck with 50 Cent cuz he knows 50 is the truth. Fif' would drop him in a fight i reckon and he's more of a rudie than Floyd as well, he gets things done, he's a proper sinister fucker when he wants to be, i remember he posted videos of someone walking around the house of a rapper he was beefing with, just walking around his shit at night with a torch, showing the pictures on the mantlepiece and shit, thats a fuckin' weird bastard, thats not someone you wanna annoy.People think I'm crazy saying Fif' would drop him but think about it, Fif' weighs well over 200 lbs, Floyds like 140. And 50 can fight too, I mean he was gonna be on the American Olympic Team in 1996 but weren't cuz he was busy misbehaving, I've seen interviews where Emmanuel Stewart was saying he was the real deal, he was good. bacardimayne
50 cent being a decent amateur boxer in 1996 is not enough reason for me to believe that 18 years later, he would beat the greatest boxer alive in a fight.
Len Cnut
If you can throw a punch, which anyone who has learned to box can...and you weigh THAT much more than the person you hit, whoever they are, they're getting rocked and even more likely considering we're talking about 50 Cent. Many a boxer has gotten put down on the street like that. Boxing is a controlled sport and Floyd Mayweather is far from a hard man. The man who trained Tommy Hearns doesn't praise just anybody. bacardimayne
That's assuming 50 could actually hit Floyd with a solid, clean shot. He'd have a puncher's chance but that's about it.Vince McMahon needs to sanction this immediately. Ace Nova
In all seriousness, it's not much of a debate. Mayweather would school 50 cent in the ring. In the streets....50 Cent would probably have the advantage....weight alone, would give it to him.
wasted
Get in the Ring! This could the fight to save boxing. Money v 50 Cent. No gossip, real beef!

I mean with that weight difference it's likely that even if Floyd was to get a few good shots in that they wouldn't hurt him that much anyway. bacardimayne
"even if" We're talking about a master technician. Of course he'd get shots in. 50 wouldn't even know what hit him.

In the ring, Mayweather would school 50 cent....he would make him look like a clown....Mayweather is 1000X too fast for 50 cent....so no, there would never be that "one shot". In the streets, 50 could just tackle him, grab him, etc....so it would be a different story.
