Mr. Dude
I wonder why Honky Tonk Man never got a world title run.
Len Cnut
i had a Nazi t shirt like Sid Vicious does that count? Whaat? Saw it on ebay once and it was like shit, what are the chances of me finding one of these, I'm buying it It's not like a measure of my support for the Germans National Socialist Workers Party of the 1930s, a young asian lad in it, fair ridiculous I'm sure you'll agree
wasted
I wonder if my Bad Motherfucker wallet makes me a hipster by default. But Carl's Jr and dressing like John Candy on a stag night might disqualify me. Unless it's ironic, then I'm just a fat, drunk hipster that doesn't give a fuck about anything other than this fine internet forum.
batman1987
Nobody even knows what a hipster is anymore, people see a flannel shirt and that person wearing it is now a hipster.

Just fuck off. I think it's more like an idea where, i dunno, it might've been a good idea the first or second time someone thought of it but when you got 50,000 cunts all being ironic for each others pleasure it makes you wonder whether it's not done to hide something. But if you (not you personally!) want someone to blame for this shit blame the Seattle lot, they started all that, wearing all big handlebar mustaches and dressing and acting like hicks, y'know, to satirise or whatever. And whaddya know, turns out the truth was that they actually were just hicks anyway Perhaps it's the same with all the ironic t shirt-wearing brigade, perhaps they protest too much, perhaps they were actually kids raised on that sort of pop music from a very early age and this is the only way they can seperate themselves from it (in a roundabout way ) and appear cool to whoever it is they feel like being cool to.But more power to em, yeah, i don't get it but i'm 31, I don't think I'm supposed to get it. I really don't see anything different with it from the whole Seattle lot too...and they like similar kind of music, obscure kinda music, all around bands like Beat Happening and whatever that kinda mentality prevailed. The dress and the kitsch and the glasses and etc etc etcIt's just the jeans are skinnier, the clothes look more expensive and the boys look more gay.what about brit pop. in fact i blame Loaded magazine. bunch of tossers. i blame irony obviously for ruining my sarcasm. Bono
I guess I'm hipster enough to wear something like this. To be honest I never had a problem with Britney Spears. She's fluff pop music that was never passed off as anything but. Unlike some of today's pop stars. Plus she was and still is hot as hell. She looked better than ever in that video with the Smurfs
wasted
I'd wear it but I'd turn it inside out bcos she's to mainstream. I went to a Peaches show. That's how vintage. Wait is Sixam hipster music. Nilki Sixx invented hipsters.
Len Cnut
Hipsters were basically whiteboys from the 40s and 50s that went slumming to black Jazz clubs, drank coffee a lot, grew goatees and talked bollocks, revering Kerouac who thought they were all a bunch of middle class poofs and him the working class hero. Pass the bongos daddy-o, all that shite Edited September 18, 2014 by Lennie Godber
wasted
but the new hipsters started in Williamsburg, NY? It's a different definition. They aren't one thing or another. They just mix and match counter culture endlessly looking for something new to be hip, just for the sake of it. It's a mentality more than one particular style. But most people just see a guy in skinny jeans and a kagool and think hipster. but it should be more diverse than that. Why that term spread and became synonymous with a certain look I'm not sure. Maybe they do it to be cool is the wrong part, they do it to fight boredom. But the snobbery or alleged snobbery is bizarre. Like Britney and Cats isn't cool any more it's Lil Kim and Rats this week. I think I met one once at a wedding he complained endless about the wedding band playing Frank and Tony numbers and was banging on how they should play Blue Monday by New Order. Who gives a shit? If two people want to throw their lives away let them play what they want at the disco.
