Bono
Straight up pop music but it's actually pretty good. She's been around for a while but I think she's sorta starting to get recognized. There's a little more substance to her as she writes her own music and lyrics. She's actually pretty talented as she plays guitar and she plays the piano too and can obviously sing live. It's really lame that Canada is known for people like Justin Bieber & Nickelback and artists like her and the Tragically Hip and Moist etc etc etc go unnoticed by the world outside of CanadaNew single from her 2014 album Little Machines Super ambient opening song from Little Machines Banner from her 2011 album Siberia Toes from her 2011 album Siberia Live acoustic cover of Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (awesome vocals) Second Go from her 2009 album The Listening Live acoustic version of her first single Drive My Soul from her 2009 album The Listening Edited September 14, 2014 by Bono
RussTCB
I just listened to Gotye-Making Mirrors straight through again last night. I'd forgotten how much I love that entire album. You were the person who turned me on to Gotye even before he blew up huge. Based on that alone, I'll check this stuff out later today.
Bono
I'd say she's worth checking out Russ. It's pure pop but it's good pop. Here's an acoustic version of the song Banner I posted up above. She's pretty cool. I can't find it but on one of her video blogs a few years ago she was ripping up Killing in the Name Of by Rage Against the Machine on acoustic guitar haha. I was like WTF? Graeme
February Air's a cracking tune, particularly the acoustic version. She's kinda like a female Owl City.

She's kinda like a female Owl City. She's toured with Owl City I believe. It's funny you mention February Air because she did a video for it in 2006 but t was never released and then her first album never even came out till 2009 which had it on it. February Air original video(2006)

Bono
LOL CanadiaThanks for your douche commentYou kinda asked for it when you used The Tragically Hip as an example of good music.Pretentious Hipster alert.... or are you saying Bieber and Nickleback are better offerings from Canada? I'm not even a big Hip fan but the Tragically Hip are classic whether you're smart enough to realize it or not. You're actually gonna sit there and try to tell me Wheat Kings, Trickle Down, Boots and Hearts, Little Bones, Fiddler's Green, Blow at High Dow, When the Weight Comes Down, Fifty Mission Cap etc etc etc isn't good music? Riiiiiiiiiight. Edited September 14, 2014 by Bono
Gordon Comstock
I don't like any of them Unfortunately they play the Tragically Hip a lot more on the radio though, and I can't fucking stand them. I'm also Canadian btw On topic, Portal was ok. The live acoustic songs were pretty good.
