sploit Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Hi Marc,do you know if he and Axl are still in contact and if he still works with the band?Also he seems gets a lot of negativity from some fans due to the fact him and Slash allegedly didn't get on.But did you ever get to meet him and did you think he was a nice guy?He certainly seems to have contributed a lot to Chinese both playing and writing. So I like what he has done within his role within the band.I understand Slash didn't like the way things wnet down with the Sympathy... cover the band did,But I think the cover is great and the way his and Paul's guitar's trade off in that solo section, is an undeniably cool effect.Guitar solos are always cool, but I really like it when bands do twin leads or trade off solos too (Skynyrd and Thin Lizzy are great for that), and to an extent the current GN'R seems to do it a bit and it is cool.Thanks 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If that's not alright, you can just skip over this, of course, haha, and sorry for the inconvenience.But if Paul's not still working with the band, or wasn't when you were last in contact with them, what happened to him? He just kind of disappeared after 2001. I once dreamed he was institutionalized, or at least I think that was a dream ;>_> And sorry if it's a dumb question, but is his surname actually Tobias, or Huge? He is a nice guy but I can see why Slash was not really happy that he was working with the band. I don't think His image was what Slash had in mind.
