downzy
Um, might be a good time for the FAA and INS to put flight restrictions and custom controls on which planes get to enter US airspace and who gets to enter US territory.

Jakey Styley
I care so fucking little about ebola. It's not going to affect any of us or be a news topic within months. The media just posts as many articles as they can with headlines that include the latest scary words (ebola, ISIS, etc) to get as many hits as possible. I'm just sick of people talking about this so much in the real world.

I'm just sick of people talking about this so much in the real world.I feel the same way. I mean, yeah, it is a very deadly disease, but it's not as easily spread as the media is leading us to believe. It's not like it's the plague or something. The closest it can get to being airborne is if somebody sneezes in your face, at which point you should have permission to knock their teeth in cause it's a guy flinging snot in your eyes.

SoulMonster
I am sure this topic was discussed to death earlier. Short story: Ebola is nothing to be afraid of if you live in the USA or other countries with a functioning healthcare, an infrastructure that allows the most basic of hygiene, and an absence of rituals that would spread the disease further. Ebola is a third world disease. Your media is letting you down by tabloidizing things you shouldn't worry about yet neglecting to talk about things and bring to our consciousness those health things that actually are probable to eventually kill us (like aterosclerosis, obesity, the flu, etc).Disclaimer: If you happen to live in West Africa, please disregard this message. Lio
It could get bad in India. Apparently a lot of Indians live in West Africa, they could infect people when they go to visit their relatives back in India, where hygiene in healthcare is very bad too. So that could evolve to an epidemic. Ebola patients will be traveling to Europe to seek treatment. Granted, an epidemic isn't in the cards for Europe and the US at least, but the problem is already much bigger than anticipated, and it could very well spread to Asia too. SoulMonster
Yeah, India could get it. Hell, they even have the black death there still.
