Fuck the touch, nano, phone, shuffle, etc. I've been using a Classic since like 2006. You know what I'm gonna do when mine dies? Order an old one!

Exactly the same here. I'm generally very anti-Apple. Their products are often good but horribly overpriced and the software and lack of customizability annoys me. But their fanboys are the absolute worst of all.

That said, the iPod classic is the best music player to date in every possible way. Mine has falled countless times down stairs and on stone floors, it's been soaking wet and it's suffered all kinds of abuse. Yet it still works like a charm and manages to house all my music. The only thing I hate about it is being forced to use iTunes, which is an absolutely shit program that wouldn't even have lasted 2 years if it wasn't for Apple's horrible guerilla marketing. But hey, all I do is put all my music in one huge playlist and sync it.

Download CopyTrans. It's free, and allows you to update and manage your iPod's music without iTunes. I found it because I switched computers and couldn't sync my iPod to the new one without erasing the whole fucking thing, and this works like a charm.
