My favourites, excluding supergroups, band members going solo etc., not in order:

Nu Am Chef Azi (Vama Veche, 1998)

Closing Time (Tom Waits, 1973)

Ten (Pearl Jam, 1991)

Iris (Iris, 1984)

Appetite for Destruction (Guns N’ Roses, 1987)

Swagger (Floging Molly, 2000)

Dire Straits (Dire Straits, 1978)

Creedence Clearwater Revival (Creedence Clearwater Revival, 1968)

Shake Your Money Maker (The Black Crowes, 1990)

Samo Ti (Amajlija, 1989)

Exile on Coldharbour Lane (Alabama 3, 1997)

Aerosmith (Aerosmith, 1973)

Number one would be Shake Your Money Maker, with Swagger for runner up, then everything else.

Exile on Coldharbour Lane (Alabama 3, 1997)

The road my first school was on was Coldharbour Lane.

The name refers to the South London road, because the band is from around there (despite the name). It's obviously a play on Exile on Main St. They've also got song with a title I love, Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlife.

1. Appetite (most balls to the walls debut, plus loaded with signiture songs)

2. Van Halen (The 3rd album that changed rock guitar, and so far final game changer)

3. Led Zeppelin (The album that birthed Zep also birthed a million bands)

4. Are You Experienced? (The 2nd album that changed rock guitar, all hail Hendrix)

5. Nevermind the Bollocks (Punk rock masterpiece)

6. After School Sessions~ Chuck Berry (The first rock guitar game changer album)

7. Ten (Still the best grunge era album imo)

8. High Voltage (AC/DC kick some ass)

9. Blizzard of Oz (The world meets Randy Rhoades, btw some guy named Ozzy is also there)

10. The Doors (great band, need I say more?)

I've always been on the EVH side in the Randy vs Eddie debate. But I still love Randy's playing though, def one my all time favorite guitar players.

My biggest knock against Randy is his Quiet Riot stuff. Those albums he did with them are just plain bad. Not that he was bad per say, but he was not the guy that played with ozzy, thats for sure. Ozzy clearly brought out the best in him, which I don't think Ozzy always gets the credit for doing. But having said that, those albums were released around the same time as Van Halen 1 and 2, so by comparision EVH was MILES a head of Randy at that point in their careers. Which I'm not knocking Randy overall, but I do think most RR fans like to gloss right over those albums. Which even VH3 pisses all over those Quiet Riot albums, so for me overall EVH>RR. Because Eddie at his worst, was much better than Randy at his worst.
