jmapelian
Anyone ever hear this? Apparantly it was written and recorded and played once live, never to be heard from again and didn't make the cut for Blizzard:http://mikeladano.com/2012/06/22/review-ozzy-osbourne-mr-crowley-live-e-p-vinyl/
JONEZY
Thanks for that. Never heard it before. I would say the song is OK. Not horrible, but not great either. I can see why it was never released. Always good to hear Randy playing.
Black Sabbath
Had me excited for a minute! But yeah, this has been around for awhile. Well, since that EP was released obviously. Don't think it was ever "lost", just not as well known about due to the way it was released. You Lookin' at Me Lookin' at You is another good, B-side Blizzard of Ozz song. Can't seem to find it right now, but Bob Daisley used to have a snippet or two on his website of some "unearthed" random studio bits he had from the Blizzard of Ozz sessions. Can't remember if it was actually songs/music, but it was cool nonetheless.EDIT: Never mind, just found it: http://www.bobdaisley.com/content/blizzard-ozz-and-holy-grailHope he decides to get it released someday. DR DOOM
You Said It All was recorded live on the 2nd of October 1980 in Southampton at ( but before ) the gig by the Blizzard Of Ozz and the crowd was added later- the show itself was recorded by a mobile studio ( that's where the other live tracks from the Mr Crowley 12" EP come from) and besides Bob Daisley's "Holy Grail" BS mentioned earlier is the real, unearthed jewel. The song was written at the soundcheck the day before, with drummer Lee Kerslake coming up with the vocal melodies because Ozzy was passed out under the drum riser, Bob wrote the lyrics later that night and Ozzy sang it reading the words off a sheet of paper- they were all pretty unfamiliar with it ( and it kind of shows) - Jet records wanted a live recording of a new song. The actual Blizzard Of Ozz band blew the lineup with Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge as the rhythm section out of the water, unfortunately (to my knowledge) besides the live tracks on the EP, No Bone Movies and Goodbye To Romance from Tribute and the poor sound quality Chelmsford Odeon bootleg there aren't any other recordings of the original band.If the Osbournes really wanted to honour the legacy and memory of Randy Rhoads and the band they would release the Southampton show at least, but as Daisley and Kerslake are persona non grata with them who have been removed as much as possible from their version of history due to wanting to be paid and credited for what they are entitled to that ( or the release of Bob's "Grail") seems less likely than a AFD era GNR reunion and album.
