John Bonham
I think adding a bunch of ballads to the setlist is one of the things that ruined GNR.

RandallFlagg
I wouldn't listen to them three in a row but folk like Jungle, Easy, Brownstone... it's a weird thing how folk like aggressive frenetic tracks but not epic emotional tracks in the witching power hour of three n' sleazy. Rovim
Songs To Kill Myself To. Too much. But I love listening to them in a different order. Bring back Don't Cry Alternative!
Amish
I would listen to November Rain and Estranged back to back on repeat for days. Don't Cry is a wonderful song but I see it as a radio friendly song following the same formula of any other rock ballad. I hold it a step above Every Rose Has Its Thorn. ChineseIRS
Pretty sure they played Dont Cry and Estranged back to back dyring the encore of a show in Germany '93. Cologne if i remember correctly.

wasted
I think they could be an epic centre piece of the live show. Axl's trilogy is really the best thing about UYI.Nov Rain and Don't Cry would perfectly set up GNRs most popular song Estranged.
rose22
I wouldn't mind hearing them live back to back to back. As long as he rehearsed, was prepared and played them all on piano himself.(with the band of course) Never really bought the whole " I can't play estranged on piano live cuz it brings out to many emotions in me and I have to move around to much" thing he said back in the day. Off topic but I wish he'd use more of the gran Torino style vocals he did for more of his songs or future songs. Whatever. combos
I would listen to November Rain and Estranged back to back on repeat for days. Don't Cry is a wonderful song but I see it as a radio friendly song following the same formula of any other rock ballad. I hold it a step above Every Rose Has Its Thorn.Every Rose Has its Thorn is far, far below Don't Cry lol. The solo is shit compared to Slash's, the chords are much more basic (Don't Cry has more parts and even an octave shift), Brett's vocals are much less intricate and varied (not to mention he's a much worse singer) and overall, it just sounds like pure 80's cheese. Oh, and it's also a lot less personal.I thought it went dont cry, November rain, and then estrangedIt certanly does.I remember something about the singles came out in that order, Don't Cry, Nov Rain, Estranged but actually the parts fit together story wise NR, DC, Estranged. The videos were out of order in other words? not sure about this really. I disagree. In Don't Cry, we're hearing the actual falling apart. In November Rain, we're hearing the protagonist reminisce and then plead for his lover to come back. In Estranged, you're hearing someone who's realized it's completely fucking over and is trying to make sense out of it. That's my take anyway.
