maynard
Besides, Corey already has Slipknot and Stone Sour... I love Corey's voice and he has the charisma and attitude that Myles lacks a bit. But the guy is way too busy to have a third high profile band, IMO. It's a shame cause I would love to see them playing together. Damn you, Slash.
Damn_Smooth
Isn't Corey Taylor that guy that sang that emo song about not bothering because he didn't need to breathe or some shit like that? If so, that was too macho for Slash?

Remember Sony made it so you couldn't rip it your PC, so I ended up downloading MP3s off iMesh or whatever for my MP3 player anyway Had this on repeat when I was 14: And this, obviously: NOT GONNA STAND HERE AND WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTT
RandallFlagg
Corey is a good singer, he doesn't half have some power in his voice. Some slipknot stuff is redundant and recycled HUUUURRRRRRRGHHHHH YAAAAARRRGHHH but then again a lot of metulz is. He reached a good mixture of vox on Subliminal Verses and All Hope Is Gone. I liked the two new tracks too. Velvet Revolver he'd be at home with the material but you'd want him to roar out a couple things and it wouldn't work, he's far too effective a growler to just have the gritty rocker thing going on since he surely cannot do VR, Slipknot and Stone Sour regardless of if touring could be shared out, he'd lose something on both sides. Amish
Corey has the typical post Cobain growly voice that I hate

WFA
John Corabi should sing for VR

Damn you, Slash.my sentimentsAnyway new Slipknot album is overall good so far, i don't like the new Stone Sour albums anymore because Taylor went pussy mode on them.... As far as GNR VR etc. concerned he doesn't belong to them in full time, cause he is not a (cock) rocker by any means (in Stone Sour he is a cock metaller), plus VR without Scott is pretty pointless at this point.... He just wanna talk about VR just to pretend that band still exist in some formJohn Corabi should sing for VRYeah or Slash solo...His voice is born for Slash's music, imo Edited October 17, 2014 by Motivation

KeyserSoze
Sorry but this guy is a bitch singer.kinda how i fell. he told everyone the new album would sound like it was places between the 2nd slipknot album (the best in my opinion) and the 3rd. so far it sounds like a stone sour record with a different drummer
wasted
Get Diamond Dave for VR.
DR DOOM
I can't stand Corey Taylor in any shape or form, thank goodness they didn't go with him.Cornell would be awesome for VR (though highly unlikely?) I think, Corabi would be a great choice too.
maynard
Cornell would be nice. They could play stuff from GNR, VR, Soundgarden, Audioslave.... They don't even need new songs.

They don't even need new songs. And Cornell probably needs something to do when Soundgarden is on a break due to Matt Cameron's commitment with Pearl Jam, other than solo tours. Then again, joining another supergroup probably is not in his books if Audioslave didn't work out that well for him.

They don't even need new songs.Yeah, with either Cornell or Corabi they could move on to new pastures and leave the other stuff behind ( I think, anyway)- I couldn't see Corabi doing justice to GNR stuff ( he couldn't handle the Vince songs in Motley) but VR only ever did the lower register stuff anyways so it'd probably be OK. There's 2-3 tunes that Stone Sour-ish, other than them, this is a real Slipknot record although the choruses on the songs are more mainstream now
wasted
Can't really see a VR record happening without Scott. Slash is just being nice. Another solo record with Myles is much easier.

tomfriend
Saw Stone Sour supporting Guns in 2006. While Corey had decent (but not exceptional) stage presence, I can't say he left much of an impression vocally. Pretty much sounds the same on every song.
