Charlie Underbite
I know some of you have criticized Dizzy's piano in the UYI albums. And, in some cases, I agree...it can be hit or miss. But I think it sounds perfect on 14 years. It's a perfect complement to everthing else going on. What do you think?

ludurigan
The best of Dizzy on UYI is definetely, by far, no doubt, on songs like Right Next Door to Hell and Back Off Bitch and Perfect Crime -- and on all the others that I can't hear him!
dando
He sucks on all of them. What a dumb thing to say , so estranged, civil we and pretty tied up are terrible yeah ?
double talkin jive mfkr
for the record did axl write all piano parts in GNR and dizzy just filled in to do it? ie estranged, 14 years, breakdown etc? i dont think of dizzy when i hear piano on any gnr song its always axl dizzy's inclusion in the band was so unnecessary and i think all original lineup would agree
Satanisk_Slakt
The piano is shit on all but like three songs. November Rain, Estranged and So Fine. Axl wrote the piano for the two first ones, so the only thing he did well on the piano was to play what I assume Axl let him play to let him feel involved on Estranged and So Fine. It makes all other songs worse.
Johnny Drama
Dizzy doesn't play on November Rain, Estranged or So Fine so that proves how pointless he is really. Axl plays the piano on 14 Years i believeAnd this.
Satanisk_Slakt
Dizzy plays on at least Estranged, but Axl wrote the part, so I think he just wanted to let him feel involved.
BreakDown2014
Imo the piano is definitely unnecesary in most of UYI's songs, with some exceptions. Still, I'm glad Dizzy got in the band since his parts on CD are beautiful
ChineseIRS
Axl played Estranged on the album, he just didnt wanna sit at the piano when they played it live.

Satanisk_Slakt
Funny, you're right. What a shit memory I have. Must have been ten years since last time I looked into the booklet. That's hilarious actually, so the only songs where the piano doesn't suck didn't even have Dizzy.
combos
Best? Nonsense! Dizzy and Axl's over use of piano on those records are completely unnecessary. Do we need piano on KOHD, So Fine, PTU? No, we don't. Civil War is another one. I really would like to hear someone make their own mix and strip the piano parts out of all but the Axl songs and see how they sound. I know some of the demos are better, particularly Civil War so I bet it would be awesome.

tberrie007
to each their own, but i really think what makes the Illusion albums special is the piano parts throughout. They made THEIR brand of rock n roll and they did it with a piano and i love every track that has it included. If you were wanting Appetite Volume 2 then i guess you got dissapointeBest? Nonsense!
