Live to Air

Recommended Posts

The "Live To Air" series, also formerly known as "Broadcast", which now reaches the national market via Hellion Records, consists of several releases of famous bands, containing rare live tracks from recordings of TV programs, or special acoustic and circulated around, rarely, in a "bootleg" imported. All releases now come beautifully finished in beautiful digipack packaging, bringing several attractive to fans.

The release of Guns N 'Roses brings live performances on various television programs, with their classic lineup, which featured Axl Rose - vocals, Slash - guitar, Izzy Stradlin - rhythm guitar, Duff McKagan - bass and Steven Adler - drums, and performances between the years 1988 and 1992.

The quality of the recordings is not the best, because it is not the intention of this kind of material, but rather to bring historical moments from the band to the fans and record collectors.

The setlist is short presented are only seven songs, and, therefore, lacked many classics of the group, which is one of the most successful in the history of hard rock.

The highlights are the version of "Civil War", recorded in "Farm Aid IIV" in 1990 and "Free Fallin '" by Tom Petty, in a show that had Axl Rose as a special guest.

Ie, it is a rare material, which will make the delight of fans of the band.

It's been up on Spotify for a while, may have been taken down at one point, has been released on CD on multiple occasions over the years, it's a boot, no point in paying for it, sound quality isn't better than you'd find on YouTube.

That's the most innacurate stuff I read in a LONG time.

Do you really think bootlegs sound like Youtube?

You have no idea.

Have you ever listened to some bootlegs made in Italy in the 90s?

There were no mp3s back then.

No loss on sound quality.

Some of those Italy bootleg CDs (and others) from the early 90s sound better than a lot of official CDs.

I'm not talking about boots in general, I'm talking about this CD, which IS worse than YouTube, as EvH pointed out these are blatantly TV rips. Edited by Amir

Someone put this up on Google Play music

zyftyg.png

It must be a region thing, but my Google music has two versions of it, one the same as this pic and one called "FM broadcast",same songs different order. No Yesterday's on either.

The best of Illusions (I'm assuming that's what it is with the split colours) isn't showing either.

Tried to put up a pic, but fucked if I can work out how.

Yeah, the 9.49 Use Your Illusion is the one that Walmart and Kmart had in 1998, the no swear version. Mine is the US Google Music, so it probably is just a region thing.

I'm italian and i confirm every single word ludurigan said.

Not all of the bootleg CDs were top notch, but most of them were. I remember some very nice and crisp soundboard recordings.

There was an italian label called KTS (Kiss The Stone) who used to release the best bootleg cds ever, with some high quality artwork sometimes even better than some official releases.

All of that was legal because of a loophole in italian laws. Many of those bootleg manufacturers even opened bank accounts to deposit royalties for the performers, but no one ever collected them.

Then a new copyright law came out in 1995 and the party was over. If anybody is interested in this topic i'm happy to discuss and show pics, been collecting bootlegs and live recordings for years.
