On reuniting with Axl Rose and the current version of GUNS N' ROSES for some live shows earlier in the year:

Duff: "It was great going and playing those shows with him. We had a good time."

On whether he would consider doing some recording with GUNS N' ROSES again:

Duff: "I never say never to anything, actually, these days. I've kind of learned. You never know what's around the corner. And all that aside, I'm just glad he and I were able to get together and talk about some stuff and then laugh about a lot of other shit that happened."

This means Duff will make a phenomenal, unprecedented surprise visit for three shows on the next touring cycle and then 6 months after in Axl's hibernating period, an interview will be conducted with Duff saying he's open to recording opportunities, then on the next Chinese Democracy (plus Right Next Door To Hell and If The World this time), Duff will make an unbelievable SURPRISE appearance at three shows, then 6 months after, an interview will proclaim Duff is very happy to receive a call to play on the upcoming GNR release, then- rinse and repeat...

I'd love to hear duff on a future GNR album, maybe he's the one to kick Axl's ass back into a studio. I like Stinson, but if duff came back of love it !

This will be controversial but if rather hear duff on a gnr future release than slash

Looks like the answer of a politician to me. That's not a yes or a no to recording with nugnr. He just used the never say never thing and you never know what's around the corner.

Get the man a suit and tie.

The way I see it Duff means that if he gets a call from Axl asking for help. Duff has no problem to join Axl and write a song or two. Of course it´s still up to Axl to make that move.

He wasn't asked if he IS planning to write with GNR. He asked if he would CONSIDER it. "I never say I'd never consider it" = "Hellz yeah dude! Just waiting on Axl!"

No kidding, right? I mean- obviously with this group you have to hitch your hopes to the faintest glimmer of promising news, but yeah- those are things you say on the off chance that a guy who clearly has no intentions of getting into a studio again actually does pick up the phone one day and says "screw it- let's do this."

This is a casual statement. Nothing new here
Since they are on good terms, anything can happen at this point

I don't care if Duff returns and write with Axl, i just wanna hear some new stuff

The best of this interview thaat we know Axl and Duff just laughing at some of the old lawsuits and shit like that
