zepsun
Any idea why the band left in that long silence between Out ta Get Me and Mr. Brownstone? Was listening to it Appetite at the gym today and remembered wondering about this as a kid.

31illusions
Speaking of Appetite Marc, were there other songs recoded for the album but left out? Is there anything you know of (in general) you wish would get out to the public or have we seen and heard it all?
Popular Post recklessroad
Nothing else was recorded for AFD but it would be cool to see Shadow Of Your Love see the light of day. The one that was recorded as a test to see if the band wanted to work with Mike Clink. The one that is out comes from the out takes of Live Like a Suicide and then there is the bootleg from Sound City but no one has ever heard the real Mike Clink Demo that would sound just like the AFD stuff

recklessroad
I would think that the only person who would have it would be mike. As strange as this sounds, I have not even heard it.
droezle
Marc, do you have any idea when (demo)songs like Crash diet, Just another suday and Bring it back home where recorded? Some say that they where recorded for the Use your illusion albums but i'm not sure about this. I have this vinyl bootleg called Second take demo's which was released in 1990. This bootleg also contains demo versions of The Garden, Bad obsession, Back of bitch and so on. Is it possible that these songs where recorded somewhere around the Appetite recording sessions or between Appetite and Lies? This is the bootleg i'm talking about: http://www.spookeend.nl/gnr/second-take-demos/
recklessroad
Its just a guess but I think they were recorded by West sometime between 1987 and 1988

Also Chris Webber help write it and maybe that had something to do with it? I loved that song, too bad it didn't make it somewhere. T.wa.T
Shadow of Your Love is a great great song. I think its to short for Appetite though, that coupled with it sounding like Reckless Life and maybe not wanting to give Chris Weber 2 writing credits, idk....awesome song though. Wish it came out on LIES, along with acoustic November Rain. Edited March 31, 2015 by T.wa.T
