Why does Axl only do controlled interviews?

You have said that Axl likes to vent about Slash and feels upset that people have sided against him in the old band breakup. Why does he request not to be asked about those issues before interviews?

I think because he is so Emotional that something like that can change his mood which could turn out really bad and he also really only vents to the people that he is close with. How ever you did see him vent in the chats. I guess certain things were building up and he felt the need to talk about them at that time.

Yes, most of movie star have PR people controling interviews. When they are promoting a movie they only talk about that. In a way I understand, just look at the cases of Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson.

But in the case of Axl and others the bad boy reputation is a good publicity move. Although it is also a double edge knife so sometimes it could backfire

Axl would have to really want to do a Howard Stern interview. Kurt Loder does movie reviews.

There's a lot of podcasts/livestreams he could go on - Dave Navarro, Adam Carolla, Marc Maron, & Joe Rogan that are all in the LA area. Nothing to promote though.

But when he does go out, even just to do one radio interview, people go ape shit (IE - The Trunk interview from '06). I so want Baz to pull him in again something.
