MONEY! - and Business

I know someone who earns £200 a day and has the lifestyle to back it up.

They told me, because they have their own business but is working for the CEOs of a major company, (and this is £200 a day on their current short term contract) - It's up for review and they're requesting a company car & a company phone and maybe more money to resign when it's up because the person they was temping for, they've shifted their position/job to something else and they want my friend to take the job full time for them.

When they told me how much they earn, first thing I wondered about was the tax, so I asked (I didn't even ask how much they earn, they just told me);

Their answer was...

I employ myself as part-time so I don't have to pay and only pay 10% tax on my dividends (I had to ask what a dividend was).

The money off the shares of stock.

I was like

But now it's finally sunken in.

That is smart though, I swear that's smart, and apparently that's what people with money do with their money or why/how they have money, but you've got to know about it in order to do it so not everyone does it.

It's a loophole.

Since when do you not pay tax on a part time salary?

Is it different there?

They must just pay themselves under £10k a year, which is the maximum you can earn before paying tax, here.

Except £200 isn't really that much is it?

I make that much every day and I took a career path a decade ago that actually reduced my annual income. I changed careers and took a job where I'm helping make my community a better place over a job that I could have continued to make as much money as possible.

I imagine lots of posters on here make more than £200 a day. Dazey - didn't you just get your degree? You probably make more than that?

I need to get educated.

Gangster B'/Black Barbie wants me to enroll where she is and do uni/study for a diploma. And she said I don't need to do an access course, and said I had the same educational background as her and that it wouldn't be an issue with what I've got.

Just am happy at that alone and if it can be done, I'm on it.

Go the proper route though, sod all them like NVQ courses and all this stuff cuz look, you're doing this with a view to getting some kind of a job later on right? Well there's bare jokers out there with NVQ's that led to a degree out of fuckin'...i dunno, Milton Keynes University or some such bollocks but to get a proper decent paying job employers respect people that have gone the hard way around to where they are, go the proper way, get your 3 to 5 A levels and get a proper degree in something of substance otherwise, to paraphrase Dazey, you might as we'll've got a degree peeling potatoes. Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths, thats the shit you wanna get in on :)

It'll be the most worthwhile thing you ever did Skip' ;)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Why not, if he's got 5 GCSEs out of Secondary School thats the next step, picking your A levels and thats the point where you become more specific about the subject you wanna take in terms of, y'know, you pick the ones you wanna do and the field you wanna get into. We're talking pre-degree here.

I don't understand all these British terms, but I don't think university-level physics is the way to go for Snake. No offence meant, of course.

And dont put the poor lamb off, of course he could do it, nothings ever so difficult really, made by men to be understood by men, just gotta put your mind to it. I'm at the same education level as Snakes and i reckon i could do it :)

Nor me in fact. A typical Snakepit topic is usually upon an intellectual subject (e.g. Falklands' sovereignty, money, nationhood) but he does not really have the resources to back it up so it is hilarious watching it unfold; it is also filled with, you know, his adventures in Croydon, his escapades haha? He does not seem to care about the piss-pulling, the serial shagger of croydon. He takes it on the chin. One thing you can say about him is, for though he lacks a great amount of detail, he has an inquisitive mind. That is more than you can say about a lot of people with degrees. On this forum, you simply never know what topic he will cover next. You cannot predict it.

His independent thought seems to be handicapped by the fact he doesn't have the broader picture sometimes, like as if he skim-read something and then formed all his ideas from that, it's a classic thing of like, quite intelligent people who are recognised as such early on in life but then sort of ride on that and never really apply themselves for most of their lives. Like when a kids weeded out as intelligent at primary school age but just has a slacker, can't-be-bothered attitude, he's certainly not think, i don't reckon.

Got a credit card and I'm already in debt, I didn't buy nothing, I just thought 2 days was 2 days, not today, darn it.. @ 50p a day I'm down £20.00 pretty much for signing the agreement on my debit/credit card... They could have atleast used the dollars on my foreign currency card.

Now what can I buy to get my £20 back as profit and bring me back to 0?

Weed, thought about it, profit margin is £15.00 tops on the scale I do it on small scale, but if you do it right, it works out to free weed.... Your money back plus a profit.

Hmmmm! - I don't think I can for £40.00, buy something I can flip for £60... ?
