Russia enters Ukraine

There's not only military power, there is political power too. Putin has more control over the government than Obama does. Same with Xi Jinping. Both of them have far more political power in their own countries than Obama or any US President can dream of. Only US Presidents in history that can compare were Washington, Lincoln and FDR.

Obama still is commander in chief of the military. He still has complete power in calling the shots.

Over or under a year?

A few days, max.

You know it doesn't work when I come at you about things you believe in and then you come at me about things I don't believe in. Makes a mess of the whole exercise.

That was my point. It doesn't work well when you think your coming at me with things that you think I believe in, when I obviously don't. So then I need to reiterate the same absurd logic your way, so that you understand how silly you sound to me.

We'd free the shit out of the Russians before they could say Whopper w Cheese.

And implement the New World Order.
I hope your joking, because if you believe in that shit.....

You obviously don't know me too well.

Remember when Russia was insinuating war against the Germans this past year?

And how quickly Putin's cabinet back-pedalled? It's like someone once said, "The Russians are like that guy who always brags about having a big dick, but when people ask to see it -- he runs away."

And he won't. He has no control in D.C. Also Russia happens to be partnered with China, as the US is with China. It is a complicated relationship.

I say we leave it to the Germans.

For the time being, maybe....I didn't realize that they are about to declare war on Russia themselves.....(I just Googled it)......

Putin, Obama & Abbott are in Queensland together at the moment. I wonder what they're saying to each other, oh and Russian war ships are lying just out of Australia's territory while Putin is here. Why and what would they do if he was harmed? Maybe they are scared Tony Abbott will 'shirt front' Putin still?

So Russia & the USA have no leaders in their countries at the moment, look out or you might all be invaded by Lichenstein. They need more land or so I hear.........

This is the training video of how to treat Putin while he's here. :o

i see Brisbane was fun. Obama compared Putin to Ebola, again

"We're leading in dealing with Ebola in West Africa and in opposing Russia's aggression against Ukraine, which is a threat to the world, as we saw in the appalling shoot-down of MH17," Obama said at a speech in the Australian city of Brisbane, where he is attending the Group of 20 Leaders Summit.

just in case: Soviet Union does not equal Russia

It annoys me when people refereed to the USSR as Russia. It is Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics, a multi-national, multi cultured state.

not to mention that USSR was kind of a stratocracy with communist ideology and minimal corruption. they spent 20-30 % of GDP on military-industrial complex if i'm not mistaken

Yeah, you see most Soviet leaders with their military uniforms and medals. Khrushchev seemed to wear a mix of civilian suit with the medals. As if he is trying to appeal to the civilian leaders.

That industrial complex just ruined the environment and local populations. Visit an old Soviet steel mill in Belarus or Lithuania and nothing will grow within miles. Plus numerous nuclear testings in Kazakhstan has created some freaks of nature.

It is an example why military should never govern. With all that money and resources, they don't give a damn about the people they were harming.

Ukraine has just taken one step closer to being a failed state.

Back in March, the IMF reported that Ukraine's official gold holdings as of the end of February amounted to 42.3 tonnes or 8% of reserves.

Until now.

In an interview on Ukraine TV, none other than the head of the Ukraine Central Bank made the stunning admission that "in the vaults of the central bank there is almost no gold left. There is a small amount of gold bullion left, but it's just 1% of reserves."

It is a little more odd that it was during the period when Ukraine was "supported" by its western allies that several billion dollars worth of physical gold - the people's gold - just "vaporized."

Of course, Ukraine's biggest mistake was thinking that the EU, NATO and the US actually had the best interests of the Ukrainian people at heart.
