Would you be happier with 1 more CD, one long interview, then it's all over?

I check here every day, hoping for some news. Question for you, would you rather continue with this uncertainty and quality of shows, or would you rather get one more CD for December with a Rolling Stone cover story and tell-all interview with Axl? After that he retires and lives his life, and we are free to live ours.

What jails you?

I want more than 1 CD. Not expecting that for this December but I really wish he'd put out an album sometime next year. I don't want an interview. I want his autobiography and also the movie Marc Canter is working on. That'd be it for me.

Can't stand Axl lying to look like the victim. Fuck interviews, they are all controlled by TB anyway.

New music, 3 minutes of new, unheard music would make all the fans very happy. It won't happen, new music will never be released. But yeah, it would be great, even if the music sucks like CD sucked.

your post count is only 69 so i'm pretty confident that you have to live your life, but that part was laughable

Lol at anybody who lives under Axl's visions

By the amount of times we've heard various band members saying they are working on new music, I'm expecting more than just the one new album. More like the album that was suppose to be released after CD and got abandoned, and the other one that will be ready when we're all as old as Axl is.

Only want music. A tell all interview or autobiography would be selloutish and very un-Axl.

Doing ane exclusive interview or an official autobiography would be selling out.................. Riiiiiiiight. Because Axl is so above selling out.

We were told 2-3 new songs at shows this year, and the band (or more likely Axl) failed to deliver as usual. In an ideal world they'll put those 2 or 3 songs up as a free download jin time for the holidays. Doing so would reinvigorate interest in touring, show that Axl actually still gives a damn, and probably go over well with critics as a freebie.

In reality I expect fuck all, and fuck all is what we'll likely get for the foreseeable future. Next year is shaping up to be a carbon copy of this one. South America, Vegas, same stale setlist, maybe Duff here and there.

I want all the Chinese material, the perfect crime doc, I want Down By The Ocean. I want every pro shot show that is out there and a fresh album from the current line up.

We'll probably get CD ll, the remixed Chinese and that's it for at least a very long time. That's my guess.

Well, there are different kinds of selling out. What I mean is Axl is a very private person and that's a major of part of his persona, so seeing him release a tell all book would be disappointing for me.

Del's the "official biographer" so if there was a book, he'd be the one putting it together.

Odds of memoir are the same as the odds of a reunited GNR but a biography with his consent, maybe in another 10-15 years.

I wouldn't mind seeing him do those "conversations with" events but he only does interviews and Q&As when he's trying to squash rumors or has something to promote.

The UYI documentary would definitely be worth putting out there but at this point it would have to be the band members present day looking back at that time in their lives. I guess if the Eagles were able to do it even if there are still grudges, I don't see why GNR couldn't.

See, here's the thing with Axl:

An interview with him is completely slanted. Whether purposefully or because he truly thinks things happened that weren't actually happening. Maybe you'll be able to see where he's coming from with some explanation, but he could also be making himself out to look better after 20 years, since why would he want to look more like an asshole. Until he actually says he takes responsibility for some of the stuff that went down (which I've never actually heard him say) an interview is pretty pointless.

An album? Eh. I guess he has music, but if it were good enough you'd think he'd played it by now over the past 15 years. Chinese didn't persuade me that he has enough great material just sitting around, and none of these songs are current anyway. They are things that were finished way in the past so they aren't even really relevant anymore. I don't really see a benefit to another album unless he sat down now and actually had a passion to release stuff (ie. write new songs, be a main part of production, actually care about releasing a product). Otherwise, an album of leftovers seems like it can only make him look more like a clown.

It all being over would make me sad, but its basically what I've thought has been the case since CD was releasing. Its sad that NEVER since that album came out, like even the day it was released, did I ever think we'd get another album out of him. Thats how little of an interest he's shown in it. Surprise me, Axl, but I don't know what your next move could be that would make a large amount of people "happy." Ironically, probably the biggest one is the simplest thing: Just make peace with your past already.
