Been busy and stressed, so even when I do get to bed I'm not falling asleep right away. On average I'm getting maybe 4 1/2 - 5 hours during the week, 6-7 hours on the weekends. Any less than that on a regular basis and I start to get run down, and my physical and mental wellbeing starts to go downhill.Weekends I usually get a little more, now my kids are a bit older. Weekends I play a bit of catch up and get 8-10.I have a lot of trouble falling asleep often. I'm diagnosed with Sleep Phase Disorder or something, which is something I think everyone experiences to some degree at at least one point in their life. A year or two ago I was getting 1.5 - 2 hours per night, and everything about my life was breaking down because of it. Sleep is very important to me. Often I only get 4-5 hours on a weekday and then sometimes when that happens and I really need more I just say 'fuck it' and turn my alarm off and sleep a bit more and just end up late for work. I don't really care, and nothing is ever said and usually I'll make up the lost hours later. Sometimes I get 7-8 hours and feel fine, sometimes I get 7-8 and feel like shit. On the weekend I almost always fall asleep on the couch when I get home (which is anywhere between 10 and 2am), wake up 3 hours later and then stumble into bed and get up anywhere between 9 and 11am. Then if I really haven't had enough I'll doze off on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for an hour or so. Basically I have no idea how much I actually get, sometimes it's enough, sometimes it's not. The one thing I have gotten used to though is broken sleep. Usually nor more than 4-5 hours at a time. I sleep REALLY heavily for the first 3-4 hours though. I have my phone next to me (literally 20-30cm from my head) and if anyone sends me a text I don't wake up to the message tone, I just sleep right through. Although I can hear that tone during the day from the other end of the house. I hope I would wake up if the house was burning down but based on my phone response it's not looking great. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I basically have to lay there until I'm so tired that i 'pass out'. I never had this problem when i toked up, weed was sleeping tablet in ways.
