Axl's Face Blurred Out Of GN’R Photo In Slash Documentary

While watching the new Slash documentary “Slash Raised On The Sunset Strip” about the rise of Slash and stories about his time in Guns N’ Roses, in one part of the documentary they talk about the first band photo taken of the original Guns N’ Roses line-up sitting at a booth at Los Angeles’ famous Canter's Deli. The photo was taken on June 1, 1985 and still hangs above the actual booth they were in at Canter's.

Funny thing is, when the photo was shown in "Slash Raised on the Sunset Strip", the face of Axl Rose is blurred out. I wonder if this “blurring” was at the request of Rose or blurred by Slash and the producers to avoid Axl somehow suing them. Can’t we all just get along???

To be fair, that is a common documentary thing: if there's a private photo and one of the subjects in it hasn't consented to be in the documentary, they will blur the face. In the case of Slash's documentary they might not have even asked Axl's consent; they might have blurred him proactively because they figured he'd mind and the others wouldn't.

This.

If they waited for permission to use Axl's image, the documentary would never have been aired.

Axl is pathetic

Source that Axl had any say in it?

This.

I'm all for calling Axl out when it's needed, but there's zero proof that he's even aware of this.

Agreed. Might've gone down without his knowing. Maybe it was Team Complaints or some lawyers. No permission to use Axl's likeness or whatever.

IF he made that call himself though, that's just pathetic.
