What album would you like to see Guns N' Roses cover?

Recommended Posts

I'd love to see them do Paul McCartney's Band On The Run. I think Axl would to a fantastic job on the whole album, but specially on the title song, Jet and obviously Nineteen Hundreed And Eighty-Five. I also think Daft Punk's Discovery would sound cool if done by the 2002 line-up. Imagine Buckethead doing that stuff.

What would anyone want to see Axl's band covering other people's material when they're completely unable to release their own music first?

Seriously? Is this question relevant? I asked if there's any album you'd like to see Axl cover, not if he is or isn't able to release his own music. Stick to the topic, come on, man. I also think Axl is the laziest musician that has ever lived and will probably never release new music again. I'm just exercising imagination here. We can discuss Axl's failure elsewhere.

Yes, very seriously. It's a very relevant question. Why would anyone want to see Axl covering other people's material when he's unable to release their own material first? There's one thing that 98% of Axl fans want and that's strictly new material.

When Axl has released at least two albums of new original material then he can go ahead and cover whoever he wants.

That's me sticking to the topic. ;)

Jesus... We're simply discussing some hypothetical situations. So we can never discuss anything music-related until Axl's releases TWO albums (a number you randomly came up with)? Alright then, when listening to an album I'll forbid myself from thinking it would sound cool if done by Axl. When he has released to albums I'll allow myself to imagine again. Thanks for the heads up, huh.

So, how come asking why would anyone want your hypothetical situation to materialize is not sticking to the topic? When I post something, do I have to make myself clear that it's in my opinion? Jesus, man.

I don't see the problem at all with this topic.

On topic: I'd love to see Axl singing some Leonard Cohen on his deep voice, and rocking it with some piano and CD production (lots of guitars and synths). That'd be interesting, but it would take some work to bring those into rock songs. 2nd choice has to be anything progressive (Rush, maybe?), just for the challenge of it. I don't know why Axl has never tried progressive (unless there's some on the unreleased stuff)
