Yesterdaze
With the festival visiting Las Vegas next May, has anyone heard anything about a possible GN'R performance? I know Metallica is playing the Rock Day, with other acts to be announced. The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen are also rumored to perform. Insiders, get on it! GabrieL_TiT
Manets posted some rumors about this and RAmR a few months ago if I'm not mistaken, just rumors though

combos
Nope. Axl wouldn't perform RIR in the US because he knows he can't show up, unrehearsed, out of shape in a raincoat sounding like mickey mouse getting choked by Jack the Ripper. He'd actually have to put work into it. That aint happenin' yo. Edited December 1, 2014 by combos
wasted
GNR were destined to headline this show. If not, then the promoters are ISIS suspects.

Apollo
Axl should be focused on "going through and picking out what songs to use" instead of gearing up for another tour.
Black Sabbath
No Doubt and Metallica are already confirmed to be the headliners for the Rock Weekend. Highly doubt they're gonna get Gn'R on the bill this year, let alone Bruce or The Stones

love&hates
No way . Rock in Rio festival , would never invite this line-up to play in USA , one thing is Brasil ..or Portugal ,where being the first time in years Axl and the band gave concerts there was a intrest . Now , for what i know in USA theres not much public interest for this line up.....now if we were talking about the return of the original , RIR people would be all over that
wasted
Metallica. Those fun time bobbies. For whom the Slot Machine spews for strippers dance on.
IncitingChaos
If Axl wanted to play this he would. They just won't let Guns N Roses headline and that's why he won't do it. I think he feels he should be a headliner.

RandallFlagg
GNR ought to be banned from performing until they release something and have something to tour beyond material recorded in 2004 let alone 1991... Axl's original intention was surely not to be the hypocrite he deemed Slash, who has actually released several albums since his GNR days no matter how much he associates himself with the band, well duh he was the lead guitarist for four records.

I'll give him FTP & Slither as the best guitar & solos he's done post Guns.

Are you really implying that a musician SHOULDN'T release music at the rate in which they feel comfortable? You worship Axl for him waiting to release Chinese when he felt it was "ready'.......maybe Slash thought that all his records were finished and ready? The guy has released 7 albums in 20 years. That's an album every three years. In your world that is too often? You'd be pissed if Axl suddenly started releasing an album every three years?Did you have the same quality-over-quantity concerns when GnR released Appetite, Lies, Illusions 1 and 2 over a four year period? Should they have spread those out over 12 years instead of four?

One of my favorite albums of all time. But it sucks as a fan of Axl Rose that he has chosen to only share one album of music with his fans during the last 20 years.

It's probably bullshit, but it still sucks.
