Mansin Humanity
Well now am I a hipster if my two favorite albums of the year were on this list (RTJ2/Lazaretto)?
Dan H.
I'm not sure, it's really sort of a gradual transition, like HIV to AIDs.You're probably in the HIV stage

Apollo
1. Total Prince rip--off2. The chick is hot. This is what happens when preppy white guys review rap/hip-hop albums3. Tommy Petty did it better4. I like Jack's energy, cool songJust giving you a bad time. I know you take your music rating/judging very seriously - so please don't take offense to my comments. It's always interesting to see what other people think are great songs/albums. Broadens our own horizons a bit, so thanks for sharing.

Dan H.
lol "Underrated Gems" and you have 3 albums that were hyped like fuck Yes, but they were only hyped within the hipster community( AV Club and Pitchfork are the only two publications I've seen so far that included one or more of these albums in their top ten of 2014 lists) so I think they are underrated in the mainstream, but I didn't mean to imply that any of these bands or acts are 'underground'.Great picks man, I forgot about ORBS and the other two I'm not familiar with, but I'll have to check them out, the second track you posted is sick. Coma16
I didn't realize Lazaretto is considered underrated. Didn't it sell the most vinyl in 2014 and up for a few grammys? Edited December 19, 2014 by Coma16

Besides St. Vincent and Run The Jewels were everywhere this year, they both got high marks in Rolling fucking Stone, it doesn't get any more mainstream than that. Not that it matters, just thought they were odd picks given the thread title. But yeah if you dug that second track I couldn't recommend Trophy Scars enough. Bad Luck, Darkness Oh Hell, Never Born Never Dead, and their latest Holy Vacants are all quality albums. Really cool blend of blues-rock, psychedelic, and prog.
