DR DOOM
Recorded in 2013...ugghhhrrrr, not what I was hoping to read there. If it was performances from the 70s and 80s I'd be very excited, not too enthused about this with Winebar Dave and little fatty on the bass.
ZoSoRose
At least the guitar will be goodI caught them in 2012, it was a fun show but the glory days are defonotely gone for VH
RussTCB
Saw them in 2011 & 2012, loved both shows. I like the latest album more than most people though, so that's probably why I'm excited about it.
DR DOOM
They really lack that something without Michael Anthony's BVs.I'm glad you enjoyed the shows, the one out my way was pretty lame.

I wish they'd played more of it live, but at least I caught one of the three shows they did Blood & Fire at I can't wait for this, a VH live album is so long overdue. Shame there won't be a Blu Ray to accompany the live album.

Subtle Signs
Terrible idea. The Japan show is widely available online and it will probably be heavily touched up in the studio to make it sound better even though they claim otherwise because I can't see them releasing the show as is. Most fans would prefer a classic show. This is probably just being released to fulfill contractual obligations or as a reason to tour again. dalsh327
The statement made it clear it's all live. Live: Right Here Right Now was bashed for being a fake live album even before Sammy said anything about it. VHND's reliable but still no "official announcement" posted. Wolfgang posted his dad's gear recently so maybe they're working on something in the studio as far as archives go, or going to do a book with all of Ed's gear. Why Dave pulled everything, including his Roth Show webisodes, was weird, because most of it was about what he's been up to and just some history stuff, nothing to do with VH at all. And he made the appearance at the Foo Fighters show with a shaved head so he's not in Japan. Something is probably in the works behind the scenes. No one even knows if they're still a band, but that's nothing new *L*. The shows would easily sell out if Mike came back. moreblack
Roth was a great live jumper/dancer/runner/pantomimer, but he was never good live as a singer. Doubt I'd listen to it more than once, and even that would be a bit of a slog.

Even if this was an old performance, people would still end up bitching about Dave's voice.
ZoSoRose
Yeah, the show I saw was fun but you could tell they weren't what they used to be compared to other older bands like Rush, AC/DC, GNR, Aerosmith, etc who I feel were all better. Still loved it and am glad I saw them, though. However, I think ADKOT was an UNREAL album. Way better than it should have been, and I'd love a follow up
gunsfanoldie
Whats funny is they claimed to have recorded a live show for a live album at one of the reunion shows. One of the NJ shows that I didn't go to but a friend did (since they then bitched for months that I wasn't there for the live album thats going to come out). Well that was 8 years ago and apparently nothing's been done with that, which is sad cause I'd love to see a concert from that tour. Selfishly because its the one I saw.I just also think its funny that knowing that information for years they are finally releasing a Roth live album and its not that show. It'll make my friend crazy. He took us all down to the fucking pharmacy, to get our prescriptions filled, and lied to our faces.
JONEZY
I don't think Ed has anything left in the tank. The last album was re-worked demo's mostly. And I doubt he will get in a room with Dave to write new stuff. They never liked each other. So a live album, which will be 'fixed up' in the studio? Its a shame. And I'm a huge Van Halen fan, for the record.

James Bond
I can't help but wish it were a DVD/Blu-ray but I'll take it. As much as they claim it'll be left alone I'm sure at the very least Dave will be touched up.
Subtle Signs
Did anyone on here see VH in their prime? I only saw Van Hagar in 93 and Van Cherone on the VH3 tour before seeing the reunion shows in 04,07 and 2012. Nobody I know who was lucky enough to see VH in their prime cares for this release and I know some pretty big fans.

JONEZY
GnRStar,1st concert I saw was Van Halen in 1984. Then saw them a bunch of times with Sammy Hagar. Last show I saw was 2008. Dave was back, but Mike was gone.

Iron MikeyJ
I'll buy this, for sure. Honestly I hope they do fix it up. As much as people rag on Right Here Right Now, I prefer most versions of the songs on it, they just have more energy than the studio counterparts, even though they are pretty much studio recordings as well. I saw VH in 2004 with Sammy and Mike, I saw them in 2012 on the ADKOT tour, I also saw the Sam and Dave tour in like 2001/2.
