Awesome news!I

I'm a fan since 2006 and catch them on every subsequent tour since then, they are probably one of the best live acts out there nowadays

I enjoyed their recent records but i'm glad they finally get back to their roots (which is not a bad thing if you like their first 3 albums, i guess)

Matt Bellamy is extremely talented and i'm particularly like Dominc Howards drumming too!

From Matt: “To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

The first single from Drones, “Dead Inside,” will debut the week of 23 March. Preorder for the new album will be available tomorrow at 7:30pm GMT, along with the new song “Psycho.”

DRONES
1. Dead Inside
2. [Drill Sergeant]
3. Psycho
4. Mercy
5. Reapers
6. The Handler
7. [JFK]
8. Defector
9. Revolt
10. Aftermath

12. Drones

Co-produced by Muse and Robert John “Mutt” Lange

Matt said the first single might be out sometime this week because they were busy mixing it. I think it's called Psycho. Anyway, good news!

Soounds similar like the riffs they played at concerts at the end of Stockholm Syndrome

I secretly hope that one day they make a song about this and baaam here we are

I liked a lot of Resistance- the title track, Uprising, United States of Eurasia, Unnatural Selection, and Exogenesis were all pretty great. 2nd Law was half and half for me (I really liked half, but the Chris songs and title track pulled me out)

Origin of Symmetry is their best in my opinion

Is anyone else just tired of Bellamy's whole "us vs them' vague lyrics? I mean just look at the album cover, this is ridiculous

Now granted, the new song rocks, but the lyrics are horrendous. "your ass belongs to me now" Come on

I think the melodies and music is pretty good, but man, do these lyrics suck  The overdubs are horrible, too

I am a bit sick of Matt's whole "1984 us vs them" schtick, but the music comes first. I'm still excited for the album, but this is a relatively disappointing single

Yeah it's not very good... The Resistance was definitely their best album, this song is way too simple, it's not even on par with their b-sides from the early 2000's. And the riff was written around the 2003 tour... what a joke.

There's a bit too much repetition towards the end, but I like it.

The ass line is obviously not meant to be taken seriously. The band knows it's hilariously bad and they don't care.

This song is not a single by the way, just a free giveaway. The first single will be released in the week of March 23.
