This looks good, it seems better than Ghost protocol also, GP was a good movie, but it is pretty over hyped, 1 and 2 were great too, for me part 3 was mehh, by seeing this trailer, this seems to be the best of all of them

No way is the 2nd film better than the 3rd. John Woo's film style has aged terribly and the acting and script for that film are horrific.

III was just a bad script. Horrible dialog. II just flowed better and even if Woo's style can easily be made fun of, it was a lot more entertaining than Abram's early 2000's television style of directing.

I find II to be unwatchable. III has its flaws but it's a fun action flick. The use of a MacGuffin as a plot device is its biggest weakness because it lacks inspiration. I guess I just expec more thought to the plot for a Mission: Impossible film. That said, II maybe wants to be too much all at once and it gets ridiculous. The plot is even more uninspired to the point of being boring and the masks can be called from a mile away. Ghost Protocol set things right and Rogue Nation looks to be the same.

I disagree completely. III has a badass rescue mission within the first 20 minutes, an awesome mole inside the IMF sideplot, Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a pretty solid villain, and a decent ending. All II has going for it is that John Woo made Thadie Newton look as hot as humanly possible.

The cast makes it work. That whole team work thing. If I can recall, Ethan Hunt was kind of solo in II?

No, but his supporting cast aside from Ving Rhames is entirely forgettable.

it's scoring higher test screening results than Ghost Protocol. The studio is gushing about it. the producers did an interview saying how proud they are of it.

translation: this movie is gonna kick major ass.

Really? I thought the marketing has been terrible, glad there's something going on.

I think the lack of marketing is because producers know how unpopular Tom Cruise is. I think he is the main reason why Ghost Protocol was so good. He knows how to make a great film and he doesn't just make himself look good, he makes his co-stars look good too. Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner were awesome in GP as well as Paula Patton, she was not only bad ass but you couldn't take your eyes off her. Jack Reacher is another good example, he had some great co-stars and Rosamund Pike was basically all boobs. Poor actress but he makes sure we have her boobs to distract us.

I don't think Rogue Nation will make a billion, but more than Ghost Protocol
