What do we know here?

1) This guy has a wealth people on this board can only dream of. With that wealth comes the opportunity to do whatever he wants in life. This is a luxury not many people in society will ever have.He could travel the world, enjoying unimaginable luxuries if he wanted to. Nothing is out of reach.

2) Axl is one of the most famous guys on the planet. If he is out and about, we tend to know about it. BUT we very rarely hear about him out socialising, doing things, etc. So despite the opportunities mentioned in point one, above - he chooses not to enjoy them.

3) With a wealth on his scale, Axl doesn't have to bother with the boring crap we all need to do on a daily basis - travel to work, household chores, etc.

4) He has no kids or partner - so this doesn't occupy his time.

5) He has released, what - 15 original songs since 1991. That's 24 years. So we can't claim he works a lot from one day to the next.

So, bearing all that in mind, what the fuck is he actually doing?

There is a caricature image of him as some reclusive loner, skulking around alone in his deserted mansion in the middle of the night. Is this accurate? Is he some fat slob sitting in his unwashed underwear in front of the TV, watching boxed sets of Dexter on repeat?

I think he lives a very good life. He has money and people that "take care him". Like you said, he can do whatever he wants. It's a shame he doesn't care about sharing his art with the fans or trying to make amends with Slash. But yeah, I believe Axl is a happy man living in his own world.

Often wondered that myself. I know he used to do martial arts and gym work a bit. I have never heard of any other hobbies like painting (aka Ron Wood and Dylan). You do not see him at sports events much although there was that one time he turned up with no eyebrows at a basketball game. He once attended a Kiss show. So there are bits and bobs he does but that still leaves a heck of amount of time to fill in.

I wish that was true, but I just don't get that feeling. He seems quite reclusive - cutting people out of his life, one after another. No wife or children. No creative outlet any more. Not much of a career. From his appearance recently, it doesn't look like he exercises any more either.

This is a guy who skulks around alone in the middle of the night. What kind of life can that be? It really is a shame.

I agree with you on everything except the legend part and I would like to add another thing that we are fools to discuss things about him or what he does and he is just enjoying his life, its his life and he can do whatever he wants, but as fans we do have a right to ask for some new music

He did lots of exercise before. Martial arts and lots of running. He did painting or drawing when he was younger. He's been seen at several sports events. F1, football I think. He's been seen at several concerts. Korn, Rolling Stones.

He listens a lot to music, reads, watches a lot of movies I think. He collects different stuff, insects, religious cross. He has his animals. He seems really into gourmet food. He went to Argentina and China without touring there. Well, I think he is enjoying his life at the moment. He seems quite happy so that's good.
