Tom Zutaut Q&A In Detroit 05/02 (Working On A Book?)

Recommended Posts

One of my favorite local record stores just posted a fb update saying they're having an in person Q&A/Chat with Tom Zutaut this Saturday.

Just yesterday, I bought John Corabi tickets for the same night so I'm bummed I won't be able to attend. Wanted to post it for anyone who happens to be in the area and might wanna check it out.

I ain't gonna lie, I would drop the Corabi show to sit down with Zutaut.

I thought about it for a sec but Corabi is doing MC94 in it's entirety. Not only is it my favorite Crue album, but I didn't get to see that tour. There's other factors involved too like my brother going to the Corabi show when he never goes to concerts anymore. A couple other things too but long story short, I did consider it.

Hmmm, Ferndale. I'll be in the area that day.

I'm seeing Age of Ultron and chillin' with some friends. I'd love to go if I can sneak away and give a report here.

Don't hold your breath though

Sorry, didn't see you ask until just now. It's at Found Sound.

Wow, he really plays the whole MC94 album? That's freaking awesome.

Yep. The show was really, really good. He sounded great and his bad played the album perfectly.

As previously noted, I wasn't able to make it last night but I just looked at the record stores page and saw that Tom posted this comment:

"I am so excited to share some more GnR tales with as many of you that can stop by on Sat.

The MTV story is just the tip of the iceberg! In many ways it will be a preview of an upcoming

book I'm working on. This is "Everything You Wanted to Know About GnR But Were Afraid

To Ask"…see you there!!!"

I didn't realize he was working on a book.

"Everything you wanted to know about GN´R but were afraid to ask" Tom is hilarious  We have read many books alrerady. Tom could add more details about the making of CD and yet he spent little time in the project.

I wonder if the reason there have been so many recent GnR books, docs, etc in the works is due to statute of limitations expiring on old confidentiality agreements? Or is their simply a resurgent demand for all things GNR, or all things nostalgia? Or did it just take 20 years or so for everyone from the old band era to go broke?
