AxlsMainMan
I can't believe there isn't already a thread for these outstanding Brits. I've been positively gorging on Wish and Bloodflowers lately, although Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Disintegration, and Pornography are also incredible albums. What are your favorite tracks/albums?

I never really got into Pornography.Evidently I need glasses as I honestly didn't see your thread when I initially used the search function Don't give up on Pornography. If you like KM,KM,KM, I think Siamese Twins and A Strange Day at least will grow on you.
alfierose
Disintegration is one of my favourite tracks and album. I played it to death in my goth teen phase via a Sony Walkman on the last bus home Friday and Saturday nights. Standing on a Beach was another fave - copied from a friend of course onto a memorex tape ( the pink, yellow and blue version). Not listened for a while, I might go and give them an airing, on my phone these days though!

Rdeyahlxp
I just recently got into them and I get that same euphoric feeling as when I first blasted Gn'R. So that's a good sign. Robert Smith is a genius of the highest order. Amazing songwriting.

BetterDay7
'Killing an Arab'. And 'A Forest'. Thanks for reminding me about The Cure. I forgot I used to love them (but I had to kill them) [paraphrasing there.]

I knew of Smith and The Cure but had never actively listened to them and I dug the song and the weird vibe of the video. Started with logically, the Top and after that Seventeen Seconds, since I really liked A Forest. Never heard anything quite like this before in my life apart from maybe Joy Division. Amazing songwriting and the songs are STILL growing on me. Have listened to Desintegration, Wish, Faith, Pornography, Kiss Me, A Head in the Door, their debut and the 2 albums I mentioned above by now, but still can't quite decide what I like best. Every album is quite unlike the other. I think this will be my favourite band for a long, long time. This is pure artistry at it's finest, (mostly) no filler and all killer. Bono
One of my top 5 bands of all time. I own pretty much everything they've reelased I think except The Top which is out of production now I think. I was late to the party and didn't really get inot them until 1996 when I heard Mint Car but that was enough to make me an addict. I bought 13 Cure albums in January 1996. Their music was drug like to me. They made the most euphoric, dream like heavenly sounding songs. They were dark, sad, happy, frantic sometimes all in one. Robert Smith is a genius. The one Cure album I don't own

Everything up to that point is just awesome and like you said each album is quite u nlike the other. You guys should check out their dvd/blue ray Trilogy. It's incredible. They play the albums Pornography(1982), Disintigration(1989) and Bloodflowers(2000) in their entirety in running order. Here is a sample but it's worth every penny to buy it
