It's about the middle 1960's when the US was in a war with Vietnam and the Black Panthers came into power and the time of Charles Manson.For the record, I hated the 1960's. My high school years were horrible and I was lucky to get out alive, but I won't go into that because it would take too long.David D from The X Files plays a cop in LA and his latest case is trying to find a missing 16 year old daughter of an old g/f of his. she's got involved with Charlie Manson.Same old story, daddy is a perv lawyer and she's daddy's little rich girl, her parents don't understand her, blah blah blah.Just right for Manson's bullshit and conversion. From what I get from this show is that Manson has a record many pages long, served some time for pot but never got punished for rape and attempted murder.the girls that are with Charlie are just annoying. To make money they will do anything Charlie says. The 16 year old eventually is raped by him and his girls and turned out to earn money. yet he tells her you will find your way to help us, so he can say he never told her to become a prostitute.Her father has a deep dark secret and Charlie knows it, so he has the power.We know what will come eventually and from the get go, I hate Manson. Even not thinking about what he becomes or what he does, I still can't stand him. He has no talent in the music genre yet he wants to become a rock star. Maybe he should have blackmailed Mick Jagger. Oh well.Anyway, I can see this show is going to address all the shit that went down in the 60's which was a lot. To me it was a depressing time in US history. An unwanted war and teens trying to find themselves only to get lost in drugs and other senseless shit. I lost a good cousin to this time and he never found his way back.I will continue to watch it only to see Manson's face when they finally arrest him and lock him up forever. I only wish someone would have killed him in jail. As for the women in his life, I have no sympathy for them and they got what they deserved.Manson knew how to play people, knew what to say to them to make them think they came up with the idea and make him believe he was blameless in all the horror he made.It reminds me how easily some people can be talked into shit and live to regret it only it's too late by then. Beards are in trend and its actually becoming common to put on beards for the versatility of the character. Many useful sources have been classified to ensure the nourishment of beard growth.
