maynard
Not an LZ fan but Stairway to heaven is simply beautiful. It gets my vote.
Len Cnut
Stairway is fucking dreadful. Just awful. A total incapsulation of the musical sickness that the 70s bought, Wont Get Fooled Again is pompous sure but it has balls which pulls it through, Stairway is almost entirely worthless.

Len Cnut
Come on boys and girls, we need some votes for The Who here or I'm gonna lose heart in this place, this is a sick thread actually, I'm interested to see the results of this, it'll illustrate whether, on average, you're a pack of cunts Stairway to Heaven, Christ Almighty
GivenToFly
Unfortunately I forgot to tick the box that allows you to see who voted what and I can't change it now.I voted for Won't Get Fooled Again. I like STH but WGFA is an incredible song.
wasted
It's was an unusual game. In the first half The Who started out well, they held possession and created chances. But in the second half Zepp threw up a Hail Mary and the Lady bribed an official to climb the steps to lift the trophy. I'll vote Who because its more of a tune and I like to watch the intro of CSI. I think Celebration Day or Nobody's Fault But Mine is more of fair match up. Maybe Behind Blue Eyes vs Stairway?
bran
really cant go wrong with both songs IMO.
GivenToFly
There is one other big epic from the same year which in my opinion is better than both, and that is American Pie, but it doesn't quite feel like the same genre as these two. DieselDaisy
Out of all the appalling Zeppelin songs Stairway is certainly the worst, being both pompous and excruciatingly painful lyrically (''buying a stairway to heaven''). Won't Get Fooled Again is a masterpiece.

AxlsMainMan
I honestly think Stairway' might be Zeppelin's shittiest song.
Rovim
Voted Won't Get Fooled Again. I still listen to it and to The Who quite often.I love Page's Stairway guitar solo though. It's brilliant imo. Edited June 6, 2015 by Rovim

Georgy Zhukov
Love both songs, voted Stairway simply because I like the build up better. It all comes down to the guitar solo vs. "YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
DieselDaisy
If you like elves and 'ye olde England' and you are a wanker, you are going to vote for Stairway to Heaven.
magisme
Brits have spent significant cultural capital convincing the world that The Who is worth a shit.
Len Cnut
Brits have spent significant cultural capital convincing the world that The Who is worth a shit. The Who, for as long as there was a Keith Moon involved, is better or equal to any band you can name, except The Beatles. Other than that, ANY other band they are at least equal to, at LEAST.
