I don't think he said that in a way that he was forced to do it. Axl doesn't work that way and if he didnt want the song at all, it wouldn't be there, be sure of that.

There are other good songs too, when CD came out, most of the songs were leaked before, when I heard This I love for the first time, i kept on listening to it, this song was on repeat and its still amazing to me
