Gordon Comstock
Foxy Shazam's self-titled album is easily the best.Honorable mentions: Monster Truck - The Brown EP, Volbeat - Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, In Flames - Sounds of a Playground Fading (not really a 'rock n roll' album but hard rock is close enough). username
Hmmm, define Rock and roll? Some things I'd consider good albums but maybe not always strictly rock and roll would be: - Eric Clapton - The Breeze: An Appreciiation of JJ Cale - David Bowie - The Next Day - Paul McCartney - New - The New Basemant Tapes - Lost On The River - AC/DC - Rock Or Bust (probably the most rock and roll on this list) - Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart - Don't Explain - Slash - Apocalyptic Love - Halestorm - The Strange Case Of Halestorm - Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball - Matt Schofield - Anything But Time - Heideroosjes - Cease Fire - Tommy Stinson - One Man Mutiny - Joe Bonamassa - Dust Bowl - Flogging Molly - Speed Of Darkness - Diff - Welcome To Diff's / Second
gunsfanoldie
Agree with the Foxy albums. I also think their self titled is their best, but Church is probably the more rock and roll of the two.I would argue The Strypes debut album, but thats more cause it doesn't get the attention in the US I wish it did. But its nothing groundbreaking. Steel Panther Balls Out, as silly as it may be, is an incredible hard rock record. Same with Tenacious D's Rize Of The Fenix. Heaven's Basement is good, new Van Halen is good, the new Slash's have been good, The Offspring, Mr. Big, Taddy Porter. But true best rock and roll album in the last 5 years? I don't think there's an easy answer there. There's been nothing I've heard that I rank with the best of the best. Honestly, the best album of the last 5 years was probably Foo Fighters Wasting Light.

Gackt
Rock n Roll is an old-fashioned genre, so a band like AC/DC with their Rock or Bust album would probably be the best fit
Dan H.
The War on Drugs - Lost in the DreamWe have a winnerIf you're talking rock and roll in a GNR or AC/DC vein, I'd offer "Like Clockwork..." as a fantastic record as well. James Bond
Rush - Clockwork Angels (2012)If this is indeed their final album, they certainly ended on a high note. Truly a fantastic late-career album.AC/DC - Rock or Bust (2014)Their most consistent album since 1983 and proof that the boys still have it. GivenToFly
I dont generally follow new music so I wouldnt know about that. As far as new albums by old guys go the winner for me is Springsteen's Wrecking Ball.
