Towelie
I always quite liked Blackbird and thought Myles sounded completely different on that song than he does with Slash & The Conspirators. Thinking about checking out one of their albums. Any recommendations?
ZoSoRose
Yeah! One of the best bands of the last 10 years and they are fantastic live.Check out the songs Wayward One, Slip To The Void, Isolation, Cry Of Achilles, Calm The Fire, and Fortress
Towelie
^^ Prefer checking out albums than individual songs. Which album would you recommend?
ZoSoRose
Blackbird is their "go to" album, but my favorite is Fortress
maynard
I like their most pop one, One Day Remains. Down to My Last, In Loving Memory, Open Your Eyes, Metalingus are all great, catchy tunes, Myles sounds great, Tremonti's guitar is good and the vibe of the songs in general makes it a catchy, poppish and yet well crafted metal album. RussTCB
Alterbridge is kinda odd for me. I can't stand Creed and I can't stand Myles without Slash, but I like the guys from Creed with Myles.
moreblack
Yes. One of the better modern bands today.
Anguyen92
Obviously, yes. They are worth checking out and, yes, Blackbird is the album to check out, although their latest release, Fortress, is pretty darn close to topping it.
Matthias
They are awesome. If you wanna check out one album I'd recommend Blackbird.
BreakDown2014
Fortress is a masterpiece but it's by far the heaviest stuff they've done, so I'd recommend to ckeck the albums chronogically. One Day Remains still sound a lot like Creed, Blackbird is my personal favourite and AB III is a solid transition from Blackbird to Fortress
Val22
I don't like Myles Kennedy's voice so I don't like this band at all.
jekylhyde
They are pretty good, yeah. Worth checking out. It's weird how Myles sounds good with AB, but with Slash he sounds like shit. I mean, to my ears.
Towelie
Okay, I bought Fortress and Blackbird. Really love a lot of the songs on Fortress, especially Calm The Fire which is brilliant. The album as a whole took a while to grow on me, but I generally find that to be the case when getting into a new band for the first time. Other standouts to me are Lover, Cry Of Achiles and Waters Rising. Am still getting to know Blackbird and have only given it one listen through. wasted
Fortress is solid. The first few tracks are awesome. It is kind uniform metal, theres not much fun to be had. WOF is like its rock n roll cousin.
