Hard rock hotel Vegas 2015? UPDATE: Nothing to see here...

Recommended Posts

I was tagged in a tweet with some pictures of the hard rock posting some promotional material stating " all we need is just a little patience - guns n roses coming September 2015 a all new resort attraction " . The tweet came from @gunsnrosesnews

Anyone know anything about this?

The sad reality is it's easy to believe he'd do another residency identical to the last one, wearing the disguise, and call it "Patience" cuz, you know, the Appetite Tour has now been going longer than Dylan's Neverending Tour and you can never open enough shows with Jungle, Easy and Brownstone.

Not to be an ass because you're right, but they open with Chinese ✌️

I do hope they're not planning another residency. I don't mind taking a long break if it's to come back full force. Even if it's just the last round. Drop an album, tour it with 50% material from CD + new album and 50% classics. With the current lineup (including Bumble hopefully).

Not telling what the band should do, just what my hopes are. Very very very high hopes, I know

A residency is an event.

A slot machine or memorabilia exhibition is a 'resort attraction'.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, when the band are all off doing other things and have already admitted that fuck all is happening with Guns this year is, I'm sorry, a frigging chump.

If we are supplied with an update any-time soon will you all react like you have in this thread?

Update about what? how was your weekend?

GnR. Pretty good yeah, you?

I have no doubt that we'll see another residency soon. It's the laziest thing he can do to make some quick cash.

It may be the best sense business wise. Much prefer a US tour.

Why do you prefer a US tour and not a UK Tour? The closest venue to you is Manchester and this new slot machine or whatever, I don't even know what to say about it.

I don't know. To promote the next album, full tour in the U.S. and various Europe and worldwide tour dates. Don't promote an album that came out 7 years ago, time to move on with the next album.

Probably the same way as I'd react if Axl knocks on my front door in an hour with a bottle of Jack Daniels, a pizza and 2 CDs worth of material to play me, and it's just about as likely to happen.

I can't believe anyone thinks something is going to happen. DJ said not a few days ago he's working with Sixx AM. Fortus and Dizzy have said nothing is happening. BBF has left. For Christs sake...

Step 1: Release a single or two over a few weeks (iTunes is a wonderful thing Axl).

Step 2: Promote the singles and upcoming tour on a talk show of his choice.

Step 3: Do a few warmup shows, UCAP style.

Step 4: Do the first leg of a US tour.

Step 5: Release full album now the momentum is going.

Step 5: Hit a festival like Rock In Rio. Great crowd, great atmosphere. History too.

Step 6: Second leg of a US tour, closing with a live stream would be nice.

Step 7: Hit the UK and Ireland, maybe a few UCAP shows again and some of the bigger arenas as well.

Step 9: Perform at festivals across Europe.

Step 10: Profit.

Wouldn't it be nice?

As long as his voice is in shape, this would be so excellent.

A GUNS N' ROSES-themed "resort attraction" appears to be coming to Las Vegas this September.

A poster has reportedly surfaced at the city's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that reads: "All we need is just a little patience: Guns N' Roses. Coming September 2015, a new resort attraction."

The poster in question, as well as a couple of other related images that are also being displayed at "at what used to be" the hotel's Center Bar, can be seen below, courtesy of the Twitter account @gunsnrosesnews.

GUNS N' ROSES completed its second residency, "No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction", at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in June 2014.

GUNS N' ROSES' first Vegas residency, "Appetite For Democracy", took place in the fall of 2012 and saw the band performing an electrifying show featuring a setlist created exclusively for The Joint. "Appetite For Democracy" spanned the band's biggest hits from their debut album "Appetite For Destruction" (1987) through their platinum-selling record "Chinese Democracy" (2008).

Then again, as a user at MyGNRForum points out, “A residency is an ‘event.’ A slot machine or memorabilia exhibition is a ‘resort attraction.’” And given that @gunsnrosesnews reports this poster is reportedly being displayed “at what used to be” the hotel’s Center Bar, it seems plausible that this “attraction” could end up being part of some sort of rock-themed arcade.
