Disheartening Adler interview - Slash/Duff doubt sobriety

Recommended Posts

Maybe the other Slash is Izzy's Slash:

He is known as The Fat Slash

and I assume some one would have told Steven about Slash, Duff and Matt rehearsing in terms on the KOC show which happened a month ago or so.

Adler says some people told him that the band (Axl, Slash and Duff) are already rehearsing with Matt??????

Minute. 1.35

Slash is on tour. I don`t think he can be in two places at the same time

Man, Slash ain't real!

"False riffage of Bumblefoot and Robin Finck and Buckethead" XD !!!!!!

Also is "Rapidfire" meant to be a reference to Axl's old band?

Adler's legal contract: ''thou shall not take drugs ever under pain of forfeit. Thou shall not take alcohol.., thou shall not say anything detrimental about another member of GN'R to the media'' etc etc.

Band go out and play It's so Easy, Brownstone and Get in the Ring (I'm making a rhetorical point so bear with me)!

Since when have GN'R become such a tedious bunch of teetotalling vegan wankers?

Given that one of them drank til his pancreas exploded, one of them was clinically dead for a period of time and has a serious heart condition and the other had a stroke plus multiple rehab attempts, I think it's safe to say these 50 something year old men are more just on the side of caution and not wanting to be dead in a month or be shown up as an embarrassment by a weak link rather than perpetuating some tedious rock n' roll borefest image and destroying their lives. Or whatever you said.

Then they should ditch their rock n' roll songs and replace them with songs about AA and fitness because most of their rockers are all about drugs and alcohol.

GN'R could not handle their liquor. Keith Richards did far more drugs and alcohol than those five put together and lived - just - to tell the tale. Look at Lemmy. He is 90 and could drink Slash under the table and only now is having health problems.

Keith's partying was exaggerated. He said that image casts a long shadow and basically that he stopped around 1979.

Right, because being a drug-addled fuckup or drinking like a frat boy at the age of 50 is preferable to being sober and healthy. And Heaven forbid they should still play music that reflects the point of their lives in which it was written. You don't have to be personally living out the lyrics of a song in order to play it.

What happened to the members of GnR is a lot more common than what happened to Lemmy. Plus, most people have smaller health issues that they deal with quietly for years before shit hits the fan.

What is the matter with this forum? It claims to be a 'Guns N' Roses' board yet has been invaded by a bunch of sushi eating temperance obsessed litigious nut jobs? I repeat, 'Guns N' Roses'.

There again Izzy in his sobriety used to shit his pants every time he saw a can of lager. It is obvious the band could not hack their liquor - if Duff's pancreas was British it would have survived and positively flourished.

Keith Richards was the last relevant redcoat guitarist to emerge from that antiquated country.

They didn't forget where they came from, it's just that Steven's life has been nothing but relapses. Obviously they're not going to do business with a guy who's record is 21 months or whatever it is this week.

What did GN'R do that was that 'dangerous'?

- Had a nutter singer who refused to turn up and shit his nappy every time someone threw something on stage

- Peed their pants because they could not handle their liquor

- Took some drugs

Yeh dude, 'dangerous'. Nowhere near as dangerous as Lennon in the '70's, Stones, Pistols or even Elvis and those hips corrupting the youth of America.

Redcoat bands never had the edge and grit that American rock n roll bands have.

They can handle their liquor though. I bet Duff's pancreas exploded after one Bacardi Breezer. See, American livers - they cannot hack the hard stuff.
