I randomly came across this on my facebook feed. This guy Dr Viossy totally blows Bumblefoot out of the water. Since i have long considered Axl Rose to be the Beethoven of rock music I wanted to share it with y'all.

1. That guy does not blow Bumblefoot out of the water. That said, he's an incredible guitarist. That cover is great.

2. The thought of considering unprofessional and boring "artist" Axl Rose to be "Ludwig V. Beethoven" of rock music is probably the worst insult I have seen being thrown at the almighty composer and brilliant pianist.

Axl Rose is your choice for the Beethoven of an entire genre of music that has reigned in popularity for nearly a century?

yes. Axl is a genius. the whole November Rain/Don't Cry/Estranged trilogy is a masterpiece.

His other work is also amazing. I don't think I insulted Beethoven in any way. i think he would be proud. he was heaviy criticized in his lifeteime as well. As a child he was called No Mozart.

I feel like smashing up my computer and throwing it at your head!

I am not even going to give ginger the dignity of a comparison but it suffices to say that Ludwig Van Beethoven produced over two hundred works including (major works) nine symphonies, five concertos, sixteen string quartets, thirty-two piano sonatas and an opera. the majority of these are some of the greatest most profound music ever composed: the 3rd (''Eroica''), 5th, 9th (''Choral''), ''Emperor'' concerto, ''Archduke'' Trio, et al. Beethoven completely changed the fabric of western music - particularly symphonically. People actually cite him as a key transitional figure from the 'classical era' to the 'romantic era', i.e. people believe he actually beckoned in a new era of music. How many people can you say did that? Beethoven created a new conception of what we now consider 'art' and the 'genius' artist which profoundly influenced, not just music but culture and the arts (literature, poetry, painting) in their entirety!

This is the person you are insulting with that ludicrous comparison!

Yes, you have. Badly.

I wouldn't say he would be proud of being compared to a lazy, boring artist like Axl.

he was heaviy criticized in his lifeteime as well. As a child he was called No Mozart.

Has nothing to do with Beethoven's talent.

I'm not even discussing ginger - least of all that cheesy ballad - in a conversation involving Ludwig Van. Sorry, but it is not going to happen.

It's funny because I think Little EMO Annie does not know Beethoven's symphonies well enough to make a true comparison.

2 words. November Rsin

:rofl-lol::rofl-lol:

Y'all are entitled to your opinions. I still stand by my comparison. Word.

Shoot yourself.

Why, because I like to think outside of the box?

No, because you use vagueness like 'think outside the box' and 'i am a spiritual being' and other such vague cod-intellectual claptrap to attempt to justify what is sheer lunacy. On the one hand you have Ludwig Van, a man who changed the course of the history of music...on the other hand you have a ginger pop singer for a rock n roll band, what you are essentially doing is saying something along the lines of

'RUSSELL BRAND IS LIKE A MODERN DAY SOCRATES!'...he's just not and only someone with an insurmountable lack of understanding of the history and moreover the mechanics of the topic at hand would make such a ridiculous statement. It is like comparing Jesus Christ and Terry Wogan as comparable historical figures, it's insulting even to a morons intelligence.

Saying they are comparable because they were both hated in their lifetimes is like saying they are comparable because they both had feet.

Interesting, i didn't know perception was measured in distance. You could also be fundamentally lacking in cognitive ability. Whats more likely d'ya think, the living incarnation of Buddha on an internet forum...or just a blithering idiot?

How old are you, Little EMO Annie?

I am of an age that some of you would consider a MILF. But I look really young and that's all that matters.

I was hoping your baffling statement that Axl Rose is the Beethoven of our day had something to do with you being very young. I always thought it was widely agreed upon that Kanye West was the Beethoven of this day and age, but it seems that I was wrong.
