TOS--LOA
Hey All! I'm working on a cover of Dust N'Bones. It's still a work in progress but I'm going to let it sit for a week or so and I thought I would solicit some constructive criticism. Everything is performed /programmed by me. I'm definitely going to take another pass at the lead guitars. (I'm a little rusty.)Also clean up the vox and mix. Mendez
sounds pretty good. Maybe more exciting drums?(use an open hi hat instead of a closed one. And cymbals that are loud.) Also theres something (i think a guitar) panned off-center to the left at the part "sometimes these women...", makes it sound too polished/nice lullaby-ey. While I'm at, replace the acoustic with electric

SoundOfAGun
I really like it, nice vocals which have their own character. The drums could do a heavier snare, I can see how it would work with an acoustic version, but you're in the jungle now baby!

I'm definitely going to tinker with the drums and make them more sleazy. I agree that the snare needs more thunder and the cymbals need work too. TOS--LOA
oh i see now. Keep at it!Yeah it's a fine line. I like the acoustic rhythm guitars because I didn't want to just do a carbon copy of GNR version.

I use Adobe Audition for the recording of the guitars bass and vox and also do the mixing in Adobe Audition. The interface I use is my line 6 pod HD 500x.
