Reunion Setlist?

Recommended Posts

It will interesting to see if they open with an Illusion song or work more those into the set.

It would be cool if GNR release a double cd set of material. They have the material and Slash and Duff to realise snd cohesive it.

Right Next Door To Hell or Pretty Tied Up

Garden of Eden or Perfect Crime or Double Talkin Taco?

I will go with radical prediction: 2-3 brand new numbers (not reworked solo material) + AFD/Lies/UYI classics.

I hope they are working hard now, as this is their last train IMO. In history there were far more unsuccessful attempts to regroup to ONE band out of 3 or 4 (avoiding r-word here), so nothing is a done deal yet, in fact ever.

Here, just as sort of fan-food, a press conference when Stones regrouped in 1989 and before their milestone Steel Wheels tour. Notice few things:

They were working on a desert island lol together, for at least several months prior, and had album worth of material ready.

With Ian Stuart still alive, with Bill Wyman on board, and negotiations on the way for guests (GnR mentioned), personnel-wise they were rock-solid.

You can see the confidence and excitement, although they did not know, and could not know, at that stage how it's going to rollout.

They were about the same age as Axl, Duff, Slash, Izzy are now.

I like this setlist, you've included Used to Love Her, which is one of my faves and Pretty Tied Up which I adore. I would replace My Michelle with Think About You but other wise pretty spot on :)

Encore start with Patience. Maybe inverse Yesrtdays and Live & Let Die, but I like it too. Great build up with Don't Cry-Estranged-New Song, then Nice Boys to cool down.

Get Izzy and Steven to show up- play AFD in it's entirety.  Then let Frank and Rich come on (I guess) and play 5-10 UYI songs.

This.. Might as well have Izzy and Popcorn play the Lies stuff too while you're at it.. And have Izzy play all the Illusions stuff.. And Popcorn play Civil War..

Please no f'n CD songs.. What wasted slots of a setlist they would be.

I welcome the prospect of a few CD songs in the setlist.    Let Slash put his own spin on them.    They are part of GnR's catalogue, might as well give the fans the unique opportunity to hear what might have been.

Well it is a Guns n Roses album so.. They're fair game

It is considered a Guns N' Roses album only by Die Hard Axl Rose fans.. No one else..

There is no way I'd want to hear CD songs. That is so anti-climatic.

Isn't it though? It really is still more NuGnR than it is a reunion.
