SlashElvisTCB Posted January 8, 2016 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Slash has done multiple songs in his career that were in drop D, including 4 velvet revolver single (slither, dirty little thing, come on come in, she builds quick machines) and a few of his solo songs (nothing to say with m shadows comes to mind). Kind of a weird question to ask.The basic rhythm & lead track on Nothing To Say was full step D not Drop D, the intro and ending that sounds like the intro were done in standard tuning (440), proof is in the track production notes AND when he played it live with Myles his guitars were E-Flat, only one performance of it with Myles was full step D then future performances were E-Flat. Dirty Little Thing was Standard tuning on the record & full step D live as was the live version of Fall To Pieces. Nearly every song on World On Fire & Apocalyptic Love were E-flat too, exceptions on AL were Standing In The Sun which was standard and on WOF its Automatic Overdrive.The Drop D songs were: Slither, Headspace, She Builds Quick Machines, Illegal I, Watch This. Guns n roses are one of biggest bands of all time have fans in every country and it seems unfair that only a select few basically American fans, who have tickets to Coachella , will get to see this. At the least it should be filmed and aired on MTV or Sky arts at a later date. Axl, Slash and Co should work out a deal for it to be filmed and aired as hardly any of the fans can be there.
