MrPoe
So many great things in this episode. Crazy 8! I love how obsessive compulsive Tuco was disturbed by one of the bills facing the wrong way in the stack he was counting!
axlslash
Amazing amazing amazing episode. That Tuco callback, the hotel room gun sale, Crazy 8.... On top of which, I think we got the beginning of Saul Goodman's existence. "It'll be like James M. McGill, Esq., never existed." Kinda sad that at this point we for sure won't be seeing Tuco for a good while. Fingers crossed we get Gus before too long.

A lot of people are speculating that the person Mike is talking to in next week's preview is Gus, but I think that would be too easy. They never show their hand in the previews for the next episode. I think it's possible that we'll see Gus before the end of this season though. There's a discussion on Reddit about how the series should end, my favorite was someone who said Gene is working at Cinnabon with his back to the counter when he hears someone say "Yo, bitch! What's a guy gotta do to get a cinnamon roll around here?"
luciusfunk
Maybe not a real ending, but I'd love to see that. Similar to the Malcolm in the Middle dream ending for Breaking Bad.

What feels so marvelous about it is the way that they keep the references subtle and real, not forced TV-esque callbacks. Hearing Jesse say that without actually seeing him would be a magnificent way to tie this thing off. I'll be curious to see how long this show goes. BrBa was only 5 seasons, I'll be interested to see if this one gets that far or farther.

So if some of it will take place during BrBa, it's pretty much unavoidable that Walt and Jesse will show up in some context.

One suggestion that I heard get thrown out at a point was that, at some point early in his career, Saul goes to get his car washed, and Walt just happens to be the attendant who details his car. I think that sort of cameo would be much better than any substantive plot involvement. I think they're absolutely going to show up, but I'd like it to be that sort of passing appearance. And I'm not sure that I necessarily believe everything they've said about the timeline. I think they want to preserve their options, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't do much to get into the "during BrBa" window.

arnold layne
Mike Ehrmantraut steals the show. I want to see his redemption before his demise. He has had some luck, but I think he can do better than getting his face beaten to shit for 25k.

Powerage5
Not one of the better episodes so far. BUT...that final scene! Hector!!!

They've started the ball rolling toward some of the bigger pieces: Jimmy is impulsive, Mike's new buddy from the final scene, making Jimmy's corruption more understandable than just "he breaks the rules" with the whole greasing-the-wheels piece. I marked out hard as a motherfucker at that final scene. I cannot fucking wait for next week now.
MrPoe
A nice character building episode, then they throw in an ending that that sets off all kinds of warning bells. The Salamancas know exactly who Mike is, and that also means Nacho isn't long for this world.
MrPoe
Another thing. Is is no AfterMASH. It stands fully on it's own, beautifully shot, and has it's own character. It eventually HAS to evolve into BB, but it's good to see it's not trying to ape that show.

Jimmy has to become Saul, certainly, but the show has a different tone, and j don't think it'll lose that as the characters build. I definitely think this episode was the least like BrBa so far, which made the explosive last scene so much better. My guess now is that we're going to get Gus in the season finale, though who knows at this point? I'm just positively loving the ride.

arnold layne
The only logical ending here is that Mike dies at the hands of Hector, which clearly doesn't happen. I don't know how you could face the cartel and weasel out of it. Don't know what the writers have in mind, but I guess that is what makes this show so good. Powerage5
Mike looked extremely pissed after Hector walked out at the end of this episode. I've seen some speculation that maybe Mike beats the shit out of Hector, causing his stroke. It's possible...
