You know it's pretty amazing to be able to see guns together again. As far as the shows underselling due to lack of market, I guess the generally positive reviews and the performances will. Speak for themselves and the sales will pick up in due time.

I think they have sold pretty much all the tickets they are going to sell at this point except for the people that dive on some of the discounted deals.. More and more tix keep becoming available for these shows. Even the ones that were "sold out". The pricing of this tour was unfortunately miscalculated no matter how good they are. It is unfortunate really.

I will answer you politely before you get torn apart :)

Those are football jerseys.  Not real futbol or soccer as we call it, but over-rated American football (notice I am deflecting the ire of the crowd from you to me :)

tnx!

lol why would anyone get mad at me for asking?

people are either ridiculous or when they ask things about arg or latinoamerica i will throw a chair at them

I am not American either. I kinda think they are called football jerseys.

They are the jerseys of the team which plays in Arrowhead Stadium - they are called the Chiefs iirc...(never heard of them before until today ;)). The Americans of the site can give us some insight. ??

Aright, thank you!

Arghhhh. Man what a night. My voice is completely gone from yelling. Didn't help that I may have inhaled something I haven't in quite a while. (Much thanks to the 2 dudes my left for being so damn generous!!!) Then after a nice ride home (I wasn't driving!!!), I sat out on my patio drinking many (too many) beers well beyond sunrise. Feels like I gargled gravel with bourbon... Gah.

For a Wednesday night, that crowd was in the mood to party!!! It might not have been the biggest crowd of the tour, but everyone around me was really rocking the fuck out.

Boy oh boy, I like those shows a lot, watching youtube vids form every gig. GNR sound good, very good :)

Note to those complaining about covers - GNR have played a lot of covers since UYI tour. During UYI tour anywhee from 5-9 covers, In one of the most notable shows in paris 1992, they played 12 cover song if you include intros :)

Even new GNR played 9 covers/theme songs/intros in Zagreb, Croatia when Isaw them live in 2010.

i don't like The Seeker, but hey, it sounds good and they seem to be enjoying playing it. I miss Perfect Crime, Pretty Tied Up, My Michelle, but maybe we will get one of those in time :)

Or maybe they could feature guest artists playing their songs. I would really like to se this come to frution, since they didnt do it on the show:

I don't have a big problem with the covers.. They are all better than the CD songs. I think they go overboard with the Seeker though.. That one is a waste of a set list spot and no one seems to like it anyway..

If someone reminds Axl that Pete Townsend watches Kiddie porn he might scrap that song.

Uh...there are no royalties to be paid for playing a cover live unless they're going to release a live album. So much bitching in here for a show almost no one went to. Fuck. Are you guys ever happy about anything?

Uh... somebody else told me this, but they did it in a way that made it sound like they weren't about to throw their computer at a wall.

I love the positivity you capture with "so much bitching in here for a show almost no on went to. Fuck. Are you guys ever happy about anything?"

Well I for one was happy with the attendance and said repeatedly how good the crowd was and how into it they were. If you haven't thrown your computer against the wall by now you could go back and see that.

Last night after PC ended, the house lights stayed off and and they started playing ACDC Baby Please Don't Go on the PA. The lights stayed out til probably half way thru it. For a minute, I thought they were gonna make a second encore. Nobody else in the crowd thought so, cuz most people headed towards the exit. I wasn't moving til the lights came on...

Those that were at Detroit or DC- did they also do that there?

Did they allow banners/signs into this show? Can't seem to get this question answered.

some people in the pit did have some signs. Axl even commented on one of them. He said "that's good" and pointed to it and then said "just saw a sign that said "axl will you marry me, but only..." and then I couldn't understand the rest. I didn't see any in the seats, so not sure if people just snuck them in or not.

So it's a typical day for mygnrforum perfectionists who forget that rock n' roll is all about imperfection. To me it seems like it was an off night for Axl, but it happens and the band more than made up for it. I remember he sounded pretty bad during one Axl/DC show and then every show afterwards was perfection. He was probably sick or tired. Everyone who actually went to the gig sounds like they experienced the best concert of their life, and I recently mentally kicked myself for being so nitpicky when this reunion is a dream come true - and also, it may really be a once in a lifetime thing, especially if SMKC, Axl/DC and Loaded/Duff's 100k projects go on. At this point I'm just stoked that these brilliant guys are playing together and sounding so great after all these years and might release and album or live CD. The past is gone, Izzy and Steven are probably not coming back, Axl and Slash have bellies that probably won't disappear, they're all wrinkled, they can't run their way through the entire show (but they sure as hell try), and yet they're still one of the best live bands in the world in their 50s. So let's take a page from Slash's book and just take in the moment and enjoy what we've got here, cause we don't know if it's forever.

Well said!

I call that.....opportunity :)

Oh come on you sick fucks, not what your thinking.  Opportunity to be a gentleman and a nice guy and hold their hair for them (so it's not in the line of fire) while they are yakking their brains out.  And then making sure they have safe passage to their destination.

She better be hot if I'm gonna hold her hair as she's puking.

Take into consideration that they haven't played a good weekend show yet since this thing got started again.  We like to get out on the weekends and party/spend money.

This July 1st show on Friday night will be a pretty good indicator of how well they can fill out a stadium.

Why would I be throwing my computer at the wall instead of just log out of the board?

always liked Tommy

i think this tommy guy is probably the only rocker on the many different axl rose solo-era lineups

all the others "talented and hard-working musicians" (:rofl-lol:) that axl chose to play with are nothing but boring professionals (richard muscles, frank fills, bumbledude, dj arghba etc)

Decided to give my review of the show. It was great considering I waited close to 30 years to see the original 3 play together. Big screens, flames, explosions and fireworks made it a great show.

Axl seemed to sing the wrong lyrics a few times, but no Biggie. Slash was awesome as usual. All 3 seemed happy and enjoying the show. I was on the right side of the stage, It was interesting to

watch Fernando often lead scantily clad women into the pit from the back stage area, lol. It was Weird to see Duff play without a pick a few times, Didn't know he could! It was a long drive to the show,

so I was tired when it was over. 3 hours is a pretty long show time. But well worth it! I feel I've accomplished my goals of seeing my favorite band of all time. Time to set some new goals for my life.

If you haven't had a chance to check them out. DO IT! You won't regret it.... Live long and Prosper!

Slash's usual guitar magic right here :D i think based on what i have seen on video's so far the band is really really into it this gig like all of them and i don't notice Axl having an off night vocal wise that much, i think they all really do a great job and own the shit out of it!

This is a real football jersey. I trust you were kidding with that "over-rated American football" stuff. lol
